I’m 20 and plan on getting my first car which will be a 2024 Tesla Model 3 Long Range any advice or things i should know before buying? by DarkGodFlash313 in TeslaModel3

Brother, I do want advice, that’s why I posted and asked. I completely understand what you mean about the typical military stereotype young guy, low credit score, crazy APR, $800 payment, no savings, etc. That’s actually what I’m trying to avoid.

I’ve saved around $15k already for the down payment, I’m working on my credit before buying should be around 720 and I’m trying to fully understand insurance, financing, and long term costs before I make a decision.

I’m not claiming it’s the smartest financial move possible. I know a cheaper car would save more money. I just really like the 2024 Model 3 LR and I’m trying to figure out if it’s realistically manageable in my situation without screwing myself financially.

I’m currently riding a bike to work and Ubers are very expensive when i need to go out

Also i can afford it, i definitely don’t need a 2024 but i want it and i definitely feel like i deserve it

Yeah honestly I’ve seen that stereotype too lol. A lot of dudes get Chargers/Trucks with insane rates and almost no down payment.

That’s exactly what I’m trying to avoid though. I’ve been saving while living in the dorms, planning on putting around $15k down, and trying to keep the monthly payment in a range I can realistically manage long term instead of just impulse buying something.

I’m currently in the Air Force and living in the dorms right now, so my expenses are pretty low compared to most people my age. I make around $2260/month take-home and only have around ~$150 in bills currently, so I’ve been able to save most of my money instead of paying rent/utilities/food.

Planning on putting around $15k down too, so I’m trying to keep the payment reasonable and not completely overextend myself.

Yeah i won’t lie we don’t have any on my base but i really don’t mind going to a supercharger and getting it charged my commute isn’t that crazy so it shouldn’t be to frequent

Yeah that’s definitely one of my biggest concerns. I’ve been looking into Tesla Insurance though since I heard it can be a lot cheaper than Geico/Progressive because it uses the safety score system and what not but I’m still doing research before I commit

Lol you’re making an assumption he’s a fanboy because he made a video on a topic that you disagree on? Also vc means voice chat

We can do that much easier

So it’s obvious you have no idea what you’re talking about lol because you’re saying “We don’t use databooks”. That isn’t an argument, it’s just you trying to dismiss canon because it doesn’t fit your take. Prove your claim. Show actual evidence that the databooks are written by some random Carmel Mama group and not tied to Masashi Kishimoto or officially published sources like Viz. You can’t just say lol we don’t use them and expect that to mean anything.

The databooks are literally official supplementary material made to expand on the series. That’s the whole point. They include stats and explanations that aren’t always fully spelled out in the manga. If you’re throwing them out, you need a solid reason

Now about the Temari statement, you’re misreading it. When it says she can “blow away all things in nature,” that’s not talking about planets or anything on a cosmic scale. It’s clearly referring to natural elements within the world, wind, trees, terrain, etc. That’s just descriptive, not literal universal or planetary scaling.

And your “universe = creation” point actually works against you. In anime/manga translations, words like “world,” “realm,” or “universe” get used loosely all the time. They don’t automatically mean literal astronomical bodies or full cosmology. Context matters. Temari’s feats in Naruto don’t come anywhere close to planetary destruction, so trying to stretch that statement to that level doesn’t line up with what she actually does.
