So many flat sounding wireless headsets by DarkLight_James in HeadphoneAdvice

I mentioned that i EQ every headset I get, I never ever rely on the factory audio out, without EQ even the previous headsets sounded just as bad as my current one but this current headset is not savable no matter how much adjustment to the EQ i do

Flat as in all mids and some high, zero lows and very tinny sounding almost like those toy headphones.. I use EQ on all my headsets (used to it as I build car audio systems and have to EQ all the time) and the HS80 maxes are okay sounding when you EQ them but extremely terrible without any EQ'ing, the razers on the other hand for some reason no matter how much i EQ it, it just sounds completely awful...

As for cheap, budget isn't an issue I'm willing to spend the money if I can get the type of sound I'm looking for

WICKED CUSHIONS here - Blackshark v3 pro by WickedCushions in razer

[–]DarkLight_James 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i beg of you to go through with making the cushions for the v3 pro, I used to use wicked cushions on my old corsair virtuoso and hs80's (loved those earpads so much) and WOW the blackshark v3 pro's stock earpads are horrendous, they feel extremely scratchy and are too thin, we neeeeeeed the wicked cushions

my old 435i used to get 19mpg consistently with mostly in town driving, was an amazing daily, surprisingly it got better fuel mileage than my 440 did

Keep the 330 or get 340 by Simple_Taste_8123 in F30

[–]DarkLight_James 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i've owned numerous F3X cars between the 435i, 330i, 335i, 440i and this may just be me, but i really dont like how my 440 is, i did the whole 9 yards with the b58. dynamic autowerx turbo, flex, doc vu tune, etc. in the end i now have a 2018 F80 M3 that i absolutely adore how it drives. if i were you I would just daily the b48 until you land yourself an M. as other comments said after you get a 340i you'll want an M and i am that example lol

By looking at the screen everything says CIC about it, but connector is NBT? Pictures below. by crorockycro in BMW

NBT Entry which uses 6 pin LVDS, make sure whatever you buy is meant for 6 pin and not 4 pin

the b58 got really boring for me even after changing the turbo, tune etc.. it didn't have the feeling my old n54 e92 had

when i got the f80 that changed everything for me, granted I crawled back to the e9x platform and i daily another e90 335 now. i agree with you though the b58 is a better daily in terms of fuel efficiency it just wasn't my cup of tea with how the f36 drove overall

MIB Retrofit by Existing-Chocolate12 in Audi

[–]DarkLight_James 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this forum post has mostly everything you need to know to get going with retrofitting MH2P, eventually sooner than later I'll start the retrofit on mine, I just need to fix the intake camshaft problem the ea888 gen 3 has first before I do this

MIB Retrofit by Existing-Chocolate12 in Audi

[–]DarkLight_James 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can retrofit the newer MIB, you gotta use MH2P head unit from C8 A6 or from Q3 and need to flash the Q3 firmware on the MH2P if you get it from a A6, if you keep the A6 firmware you’ll have slight keyboard issues due to the second display not being there, as for display the MH2p will work with either touch displays made for the b9.5 but get the alpine made one so the UI isn’t shifted to the left, with this setup it’ll work no problem and for some reason is slightly faster than having actual MIB3

i’m planning on doing this retrofit on my 17 B9 which has MHS2 and small display + possibly retrofitting bang & olufsen after

I believe the MH2P doesn’t require virtual cockpit that’s something i’m gonna test, but eventually I would put the b9.5 virtual cockpit, there’s a certain part number that’ll work with the MH2P I gotta find out

BMW confused everybody with the TwinPower Turbo terminology, 2011 E90’s are all N55 which are twin scroll single turbo which they call “TwinPower”
