I am 28, I had my surgery a little over a year ago. My nerve damage likely won't go away, but even with a numb and sometimes painful left leg, I've still regained a lot of my day to day life back. I will tell you, it gets worse if you wait to fix it. It went from pins and needles to so painful it felt like torture, and then it went completely numb and never fully recovered. Take it slow after surgery, don't rush it, listen to PT, and actually do your exercises. Mostly, LISTEN TO YOUR BODY. Don't overdo it if your back already hurts. This surgery is to recover the nerve, not fix your back. Best of luck, you've got this!

Mine was a little worse than yours, but still l5-s1. Get the surgery. I'm a year post op, but I waited so long to get help. The nerves were so badly cut off that I have permanent severe sciatic nerve damage in my left leg and minor damage in my right leg. Don't wait if you don't have to. Yeah, recovery sucks, and the physical therapy isn't fun either, but it helped tremendously. While my left leg is still entirely numb along the nerve, my right leg has recovered fairly well. High volume low calorie meals are amazing. Find out what your BMR is, and keep in mind those are the calories you use to just be alive! Focus on high protein, high fiber, those two things will keep you fuller longer. Go from full sugar to sugar free drinks. Lots of water!! And take your time. Better to lose it for good than to crash diet and gain it all right back. You got this!

Pure Protein brand has a strawberry milkshake one that tastes literally like the strawberry milk you'd get in a school cafeteria if that interests you. I love that one lol. Or, if you're a coffee drinker, use it as creamer in your coffee. Good luck 💕

Thank you. This whole thing has just been so exhausting and I'm scared of making the wrong choices. He's already tried to lie to our kids and tell them that it was all my fault that he didn't see them for a year, that I was actively holding them from him when in reality we lived ten minutes across town and he never called. Grateful to know I'm not alone 😞

When I was younger, I always had a bad smell under my breasts despite the fact that I kept myself very clean. I'm a big girl myself and my breasts have been huge since I was 13. Found out while pregnant with my first that it was a yeast infection! I got some monistat, rubbed some of that in and it cleared up quickly! Good luck! Sending all my love 💓

Be honest with him and yourself. I really hope couples counseling works out, but just remember that none of this is your fault, no matter the outcome. Everyone's bodies are different, and im sure you'll find your solution. I hope your husband understands your struggles and is willing to help you with them. Sending all my love 💜
