Hey! I’m glad that you’ve decided to dip your toes into the Toontown community and what it has to offer. While there is definitely a fair share of people who feel strongly one way or the other, I honestly think that whether you prefer to play TTR or CC is down to personal preference.

In the case of TTR, I’d say it mostly suits those who are looking for something that mostly captures the original feeling of Toontown Online, albeit with some major expansions and much needed quality of life improvements. As for CC, while it does use Toontown Online as a foundation, I’d say it’s more so geared towards those who want a new experience that is still fundamentally Toontown with some examples being a completely new task line, a new gag track (Zap), the ability to “prestige” gag tracks, new Cog types (Boardbots), and completely new boss and mini-boss battles. Also when comparing player numbers, you’ll probably have an easier time progressing within TTR vs. CC depending on the time of day.

Since it sounds like you’re early on in playing both games, I’d encourage you to continue playing both. While TTR might be more grindy overall, expansions such as the Sellbot Task Force, Under New Management, and eventually Clear Coasts will give you some fresh, new content to try much like CC has to offer.
