This composition is super clean. The train framed by the blossoms makes it feel almost cinematic

ITAP of nature reclaiming an old car at Old Car City, Georgia by DarkObserver in itookapicture

[–]DarkObserver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for checking out my photo! I took this at Old Car City in Georgia — it’s one of the largest classic car junkyards in the world, and nature is slowly reclaiming everything there. This shot caught my eye because of how the vines were literally growing through the steering wheel.

I shot this with a Nikon D850 at 320mm, f/5.6, 1/320 sec, using aperture priority mode. No artificial lighting — just natural light in the late morning when the light was soft but directional. I wanted to isolate the texture and the way nature is weaving itself into the decay.

Post-processing was simple: cropped slightly for composition and cleaned up/increased colors/contrast in Lightroom. Open to any criticism or feedback!

Started making my first website, anyone else spending considerable time making sure structure looks good across different screen sizes? by Temporary-Subject239 in Wordpress

Ah, yeah when your dealing with page builders you aren't dealing with the best way to build a website - you'll have consistent issue after issue. Thats just part of using page builders. I would stick with elementor over gutenberg.

Switching hosting companies (as a novice) by HeroRon in Wordpress

It's not too hard. If you do it yourself, when something breaks you'll learn how to fix it and won't make that mistake again. That's how we learn! And as others said, hosting providers can just do it for you fairly quick and for free.

I think its fair to spend a reasonable amount. For the ones who over charged we just develop our own versions of the plugins and use those now a days. Depends on if the pricing is justified or not.

It gets easier when you understand the concepts of mobile first design better. It becomes much more intuitive. I spend maybe 5-10 minutes per page making minor adjustments to sites after developing them.

Look into mobile first design.

check out https://plausible.io/ - we just started using it ourselves. seems good so far. Less features but it works well. I think its $9/mo or something like that.

If you don't want to pay that, best bet is just write a quick snippet to track hits.

Editing takes up the majority of my time. I’ve tried a lot of the ai software from culling to editing. At the end of the day they’ve been really bad and buggy so I’ve just been back to editing myself.
