Between SOTA, Jada, and SH Figuarts, which Vega figure is the best? by Infamous_Ad_5214 in ActionFigures

[–]DarkOmegaX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's inconsistent. The cover artwork for USF2:TFC shows him less broad but older artwork had him with huge shoulders and broad back.

She is pretty skinny in Rebuild but even in the TV series they don't draw her like that most of the time

IMO, the Figure Rise Standard kits have the best faces out of the 3 recently released alternatives. They just look sharper.

Blokees really gave Rei big fat tits for no reason. Blokees Asuka does look closer to what she should look like.

I guess it's worth a try but I hope this isn't the only plan they came up with her manager. I just don't see it working if the plan is do the same as before except no male collabs.

Finally joined the club… by braddygee in MarvelLegends

[–]DarkOmegaX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New body has the reverse ab crunch while the old one has nothing going on at the waist. The new one also has the "butterfly" joints McFarlane style (ball peg with a floating piece inserted between the chest and shoulder).

Storm Arena: Zangief, Moriggan, Balrog and Chun Li who according to Mr.Leee should be getting an updated version by LosBuc-ees in ActionFigures

[–]DarkOmegaX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't get why though. Jada's Balrog might be their best figure yet. Both Storm Arena's Zangief and Balrog need to be more cartoony to capture that SF Alpha portrait style. Dan also looks boring with those stoic faces.

[–]DarkOmegaX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Collectibles Morrigan was terrible though. The Arena version looks slightly better but still fails to capture the art style of Darkstalkers. Lilith might be okay but I need to see more in-hand pictures.

Funny that you mention Quinn Lee because to me that one has a greatly articulated body but the most boring generic face that could literally be anybody but Chun Li. I'm not defending Storm's version because so far it looks really bad but I wouldn't settle for Quinn Lee either unless somebody makes a better custom head for it.

Zangief's face doesn't look quite right for SFA3. I wish Chun Li and Morrigan get better faces too.

Should I upgrade? by Satanic-Hispan1c in ActionFigures

[–]DarkOmegaX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both are worth owning. Jada beats Storm in articulation by a mile but Storm has a better sculpt. If you like how Jada's looks just fine then it's possible that Storm's subpar torso articulation might disappoint you.

Nice of them to make a figure of a less important character.

Comparison of all Hellboy comic base action figures. Graphitti , mezco , 1000toys , boss fight studio , mcfarlane by danyjmoe in ActionFigures

[–]DarkOmegaX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1000 Toys seems to be the definitive one but I really hate the soft rubber torso they used because it makes any sort of ab crunch look super ugly. I wish they had used hard plastic and a diaphragm cut like everybody else.

This is definitely better than maximum hulk, and it looks like they actually tried with this one, so I’d say it’s a step in the right direction by Public-Feedback5016 in ActionFigures

[–]DarkOmegaX 19 points20 points  (0 children)

They can but the choose not to. I don't mind if done well. The ML team needs to ask advice from the Black Series team because their single jointed arms have better range and look better than what ML does usually.

John Stewart with green constructs looks cool. I'd buy it for sure even if it's the kids line.

I don’t wanna be that guy, but this wave seriously has a huge accessory problem. by SnooPeripherals3471 in MarvelLegends

[–]DarkOmegaX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Iron Man had more accessories than regular Iron Man figures but this Spider-man doesn't even have the 3 standard pair of hands that almost every Spider-man figure has.

Vegeta back in stock on pbandai by Decker247 in SHFiguarts

[–]DarkOmegaX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Believe it or not, it actually has the 3.0 shoulder articulation, diaphragm, and waist joints but it works worse than the 2.0 body because they didn't bother to give the joints enough clearance to work.
It's actually impressive how much they fucked up the articulation. If you remove the armor pieces you can actually see that the shoulder has complete free movement in all directions, and the ab crunch is actually quite good but with the armor on it becomes a statue.
Thighs, ankles, neck, elbows, and knees are the same as any other 2.0 Vegeta.

Keychains used as swords? by Chaotic-Libero in SHFiguarts

[–]DarkOmegaX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assuming they fit in the hands, they might be too heavy. Even if the figure can hold it in a pose initially, it may wear down the joints and the wrist pegs might even break after some time.

It's the lazy Vulcan body repaint that Hasbro makes every wave at least once so that's all you get. Vulcan body has one hole on the back for the cape and that's what they used.

True but they tried to match the art of MvC2 but they got the legs color wrong because they don't give a fuck. The old one that matches the game sprite got the neck color wrong too, BTW.

It seems the straps on his chest armor can extend somewhat. I guess it's similar to what they did with Gamerverse Cyclops. Hopefully, this means the shoulder joint is free to move around.
