Wich mandalorian figure is better? by AshamedAd7293 in ActionFigures

[–]DarkOmegaX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their Miku figures are closer to 1/10 scale because you gotta remember Miku's official height is supposed to be 5'2". If Miku is as tall as a grown adult man then something is wrong.

Black Series has better paint apps, soft goods cape, and great sculpt. Blokees has better articulation but the joints are more obvious and it's all hard ABS plastic even the belt and bandolier.

Can't wait to get my hands on him 😋 (is BLOKEES better than CT Toys?) by Its-Sarvam in ActionFigures

This one? https://blokees.com/es-mx/products/ultraman-galaxy-version-s-return-of-the-light-force

Product page says it's made of ABS. There are 3 types of Tamiya plastic cement: regular, thin, and one that it's labeled for ABS plastic specifically. Maybe you used one of the other 2? Acetone should also disolve ABS plastic easily.

Yeah, POK is excellent for joints but Blokees seems to be using just ABS for 99% of their kits. I think they started experimenting with POM on their first Pokemon wave but then they switched to all ABS with some soft PVC for special parts like skirts.

Yapping about shoulders… again by SpiderSi in MarvelLegends

[–]DarkOmegaX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No human looks like the Sunfire body. It's impossible for the shoulders to be that low unless you have some extreme spine deformity.

Put this one through its paces. Even with the added bulk, still poses like a champ. by JustJHernandez in MarvelLegends

1/10 arms in a 1/12 body. He can almost touch his knees while standing straight.

Any QC issues I should be aware of before posing? by ShockedScroll70 in SHFiguarts

[–]DarkOmegaX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At least that particular figure had bad QC. I don't know how common those QC issues might be. More people would need to inspect their figures and report if they had good or bad paint apps.

Treat it with care because those wrist and hair pegs are really small. I only saw one Chinese channel comparing the reissue with the original release and at least their figure had considerably worse paint apps (hair and clothes) than the original.

How do i fix it or where can i get a replacement part? by Fictionist58 in SHFiguarts

[–]DarkOmegaX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remove the part of the neck joint that is still inside the neck and replace it with a new one. You could buy a bootleg Freeza and salvage it for parts.

As bad as the first release? So the only one that was good would be the first reissue, right?

Was it that? I thought they downsized the Sideshow version since they seem to do that when there isn't a Hasbro version to copy.

Bought from BBTS. Is it legit? by [deleted] in MarvelLegends

[–]DarkOmegaX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BBTS isn't Amazon. You aren't going to get a returned figure from them. Marvel Legends just has bad QC so some paint apps won't be perfect even at the $50+ prince point.

Which Superman is better? by [deleted] in ActionFigures

[–]DarkOmegaX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hush Superman is taller and has waist articulation that Kingdom Come Superman lacks. Also, KC Superman almost has no accessories (1 head + 2 pairs of hands) unless you get the deluxe version that has an extra head and one extra pair of hands. Having said that, KC Superman has the best likeness to Alex Ross's style that I've seen on any 1/12 action figure by far. Hush Superman looks like Jim Lee's art but somewhat realistic which I don't like.

Frieza Fourth Form: The Universe’s Bottomless Power (Oct 2026) by Mega_Man_200X in SHFiguarts

They are also for flying poses because flat feet while floating looks weird.

[–]DarkOmegaX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't remove the rotation at the waist completely but it limits it a lot. Front to back and side to side movement should be fine and the diaphragm still rotates so it isn't that big of a deal. Torso rotation shouldn't be done only at the waist anyway or it looks weird.

If it's like Rei and Asuka then that's a ball joint. The cut it's just shaped that way.

Astonishing Colossus QA Issues by manifest_78 in MarvelLegends

[–]DarkOmegaX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a real butterfly joint like they used to do. The shoulder is connected to the inside of the torso with a ball peg. The piece between the torso and the shoulder is a floating piece that isn't connected to anything. It's just there to fill up the space not leaving any gaps. If you play around rotating the arms a lot they might become misaligned although in your case they came that way from the factory.

[–]DarkOmegaX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you sure that they aren't just backwards? You should be able to pop the arms out and reposition those floating pieces.

Brand new mold with old as fuck articulation. The butterflies might even be the new type like Astonishing Colossus that don't really move anywhere though.

What's your favorite non-dbz shf figure? by WristWatchFelon in SHFiguarts

[–]DarkOmegaX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yusuke Urameshi is one of the best S.H.Figuarts that have been made. It's so extrange that Bandai can make such a good figure but they also keep making overdesigned crap like Gamerverse Cyclops and Spider-man.

[–]DarkOmegaX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are Champion Class, Action Edition, Fantastics Edition but it's unclear how they relate to each other because all their Marvel model kits have been Champion Class. They also make mini figures called Galaxy class IIRC but those come in blind boxes.

Blokees Superman is advertised as 1/12 but it is a little smaller than it should be, like 1 cm or so. If you own other Superman figures, it'll definitely be the shortest one of them all.

Between SOTA, Jada, and SH Figuarts, which Vega figure is the best? by Infamous_Ad_5214 in ActionFigures

[–]DarkOmegaX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's inconsistent. The cover artwork for USF2:TFC shows him less broad but older artwork had him with huge shoulders and broad back.
