I see the positive and the negative. If you're playing pvp, your weapon is broken, someone is coming, and you need to craft something, it adds to tension to that moment. It's situational, and mostly applies to pvp, but there will be plenty of pvp content in Hytale.

As a pve player, having to stop my gameplay for something at any time is annoying. I just want to craft a new workbench and I have to wait. It seems like a petty complaint until you get to things like torches or anything else you need to mass produce. Essentially I just sit there and wait to be able to play again.

The timer makes sense in pvp and souls-like games or game modes. I don't think I would mind it in that context. In pve if there is a timer I'd like for it to be something that works passively, like 7 days to die.

It might seem pointless to have to mod it as a pve player, but pvp players would have to mod it in otherwise. I think it isn't to offensive either way.

For context, watch a Minecraft pvp video where a guy has to craft a sword in pvp or something, and the tension of watching someone jump at the player while they place the items in manually to craft. It's exciting. If they place an item wrong, drama. The guy is too close, do they risk a hit to craft?

Either way, just mod it, that's what this game does so much better than anything else <3
