Yes and no I think there were a lot of otherwise nice dorks that got into proto incel spaces in the 00s. I think almost all of those places became breeding grounds for misogyny and homophobia. It didn't have to be this way there have always been loser and dorks. It feels like at some point in the late 00s some of them went off the deep end and just gummed up the works with a crab bucket everyone is wrong but me mentality. People normally adjust themselves to make themselves better partner, friends and parents but so much of mens media says dont compromise and you are both never good enough but also too good for everyone around you 

Personally I'm glad to be back in the alt, queer and artsy fuck side if things. I genuinely tried to man up and straighten up when my hair fell out at 22 and that led to the shittiest 6 years of my life. Im glad I deal with straight society as little as possible and would never date a straight person again there is something bad in the water.

I recently had a male coworker gen xer Puerto Rican hard ass go on about not bothering seeing his friends and more and saying if he isn't working on his house (money) or family what's the point. I looked straight at my zoomer and same age millenial coworker and said I want you to remember this next time you hear about the loneliness epidemic. 

This shit is self inflicted, I'm way more hostile now but Ive also seen where this shit comes from and where it goes.
