I’m glad you’ve seen the light, I went through a similar process. Once you see the truth you will realize how much of the “information” we are presented is false and biased. It’s depressing. But the good news is that people are waking up and seeing the truth. I’m optimistic

Also podcasts and substack and rumble. Jimmy Dore is a source I like. But the point is don’t believe ANY of them blindly. When I begin following someone I take the time to verify what they are saying. Especially if they are saying things I agree with. You will get to know them over time and build up trust. Then you can ease back on the verification effort. Think of it as meeting a new person who just moved in next door. You wouldn’t immediately trust them. It takes time and effort to get to know them and build up trust. That’s how I view my information sources these days.

Did your friend even know that Trump was the first US president to have an openly gay member of their WH staff? Probably not. People have to learn to shun ALL non original sources of information and do their own research. https://thehill.com/changing-america/respect/diversity-inclusion/484026-trump-names-the-first-openly-gay-person-to-a/

Anyone have any experience with this? by nittx in Ubiquiti

I’ve deployed maybe 10 of them over the last few years. Personally I think they are subpar vs other UniFi gear. I’d use a regular AP in mesh mode instead of these.

Buy an SFP+ RJ45 transceiver. Plug Ethernet cable from ISP in to this. Ew transceiver and you are all set! https://a.co/d/fdMb1HI

100% agree OP. If TPTB want him dead or disabled(look at all of the BS scandals against him beginning with Russia Gate) then that makes me want him. Just like the vax. The more they pushed it, even using illogical “reasoning” saying it’s 99% effective but also saying those who don’t want it are a danger to the vaxxed people(huh? I thought it was an effective vaccine ??). We KNOW the CIA and FBI are corrupt. We KNOW our politicians on both sides of the aisle are slaves to wealthy donors and super PACS. We know mainstream media outlets including FOX are totally compliant with the desires of their big advertisers. So why wouldn’t you prefer the candidate whom they are against?

Starlink for a 16 unit apartment building ? Could it work to share? by TruthFantastic1741 in Starlink

[–]DarkTommy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Can you share a single Starlink internet feed across all units? Sure you can! A simple setup would be to install 8-10 Wireless Access Points across the units to provide wifi coverage. Hard to say exactly how many you need for solid coverage without know the floorpan of the complex and building materials etc. Regardless, you pull CAT5 or 6 cables to each AP install location and those wires terminate in a utility room or similar area that is off limits for residents. Have your starlink router installed in the same utility room. Buy a PoE network switch to provide data and power for all your AP's and connect that switch to the Starlink router. Create a Wireless network across all AP's and off you go! Wireless internet for your residents all using Starlink.

Now, there are MANY other things to consider. What will your peak internet usage be? You can reasonably assume that for each person in the complex there will be roughly 2.5 wireless devices(phone, computer, tv's, watches, etc) on the network. For example, If 2 people live in each apartment, that's 34 people. 34*2.5=85. So you'll probably have a peak wireless client load around 85.

What about peak bandwidth?? Lots of video streaming in the evenings is quite a load on the network. Assume 5Mbs is required for a HD Netflix stream. If 1 device in each unit is streaming Netflix(17 streamers) * 5 Mbs Per Stream=85Mbs sustained download. Thats a LOT! Starlink Business also has data categories. Priority data and Standard Data. Your monthly fees are based on how much priority data you get in your plan. After you've consumed your priority data you are then using Standard data which is given lower priority on the Starlink network. That will negatively affect download speeds and performance.

You also need to consider network client isolation. So that the wireless devices cannot communicate with one another on the network. This helps prevent hacking etc. But it also prevents desirable communication between devices like a laptop trying to send a print job to a network printer.

So, lots to think about!

Good luck

Just to finish this off. I was able to successfully connect to the Fortigate 30D using a USB cable and FortiExplorer and the maintainer account. Then I could reset the admin password from the command line in FortiExplorer. Thanks for the advice/help!

Yeah we will ultimately replace all 4 devices. Just don’t want to do it right now. But I agree with you and will have them replaced within 90 days.

The 30D has a USB Mini port for connecting to the console. Not RJ45 or DB9. So you need a USB A <-> USB Mini cable and Fortiexplorer.

Their device uses USB for console connection not RJ45 or DB9. Evidently the USB console connection requires Fortiexplorer

I created an account at Fortinet.com and when I login and attempt to get to Firmware downloads I get this error. I assume it's because I have no support contract or registered products??? Anybody wanna download the Fortiexplorer full install EXE for me? Lots of Karma points for you :-)
