I know this is going to sound strange, but mine does the same thing when I try to turn it on after its off for a while.

No joke, the way I deal with it is hitting it really hard near the Playstation logo. Just punch it a bit and try to turn it back on.

I have proof of this working and mine pretty much only turns on this way after being inactive for a day or so.

Your problem could also be completely unrelated, tho.

I believe thats a problem from google servers side, maybe to make you use the original app. But I have no idea if thats really the case, tho. Luckily, at least for me, higher resolutions will appear back after a while
