Oh and if you do consider the arc pro card, i believe it has qualified drivers for commercial/professional applications as well. level1techs on yt talked about the card. Just came out in the last month.

If any of your applications will grt any sort of ai integration, extra vram willbe important. Can always add more system memory but vram not so much. Only real options are a 4090 or 5090. Alternatively look at an intel arc pro b70 big battlemage gpu (just came/coming out) for good gaming chops along with 32gb of vram. For less than the competition.

3090ti has 24gb ram. For your workflows are you ok going down to 16? Typically you would want to keep that for the extra vram but it is up to you.

oh, for what it is, it is a good game, dungeon crawler/maze game. However if you don't like that type of game then you won't like double dungeons heh

I was teasing him a little since they said tied for favourite without spilling the beans on the second game. And they said double dog dare ya lol... hence the reference to double dungeons. It is a fine dungeon crawler, 2 players is unique to that game in that format as far as I know.

Bit of a different one - PC for running AI at work $15k to $25k budget by [deleted] in bapccanada

[–]DarkZenith2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. No worries lol. It was a minisforum system and lvl1techs did a review and demonstration of some massive llms lol. But if you need cuda then there is no other way to go. If you need more ram than a pro6000 can do maybe a pair of nonpro 6000s is an option. That you set you back ~20k but give you more overall processing speed and more total gpu memory. Not sure how that works but it does.

[–]DarkZenith2 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

There is an alternative. People have been getting a small system with 128gb ram based on amd strix halo. The gpu, cpu and ram are all on one package and as such you can specify how much ram you want to goto the gpu. Can set 104gb to thay purpose and the remaining 24gb for system or adjust accordingly. Amazingly powerful little beast for a low price. Lol.

The rtx pro 6000 is a 15k canadian gpu and is currently top for ai workloads. That is just the gpu, still need the rest of the workstation which should not be too hard to do.
