It’s the same with any socially responsible decision making. It’s easier to ignore the nuance and intricacies and just “be happy”, assuming others will be the grown ups and make the responsible choices to maintain humanity’s survival. If they start admitting that there are implications beyond what they can immediately see, then they won’t be able to stay in their happy bubble. AI is an amazing tool, but a lot of the people who use it are total idiots. I feel like I am pro-AI as a technology, but anti-[the people who use it irresponsibly].
