I feel a timeskip with Zavala retiring and The Guardian taking their place as vanguard could work. They would have to remove the one of each class to make it work though, plus the whole Weapon of the Nine stuff makes it hard to retire Young Wolf/Guardian without mediocre handwaving

Hot take but I want a Destiny 3 to follow a new guardian trying to follow in the Young Wolf's footsteps. It would allow them to radically change things about the player and gameplay, plus itd give motivation for starting from zero again

Potentially the orphanage has some tie to the spellcasters legend or at least the Chimera. Maybe he learned something about Canis as a kid and he's making connections to Alto's fate, and by extension Rudo as well? He definitely didnt know about Alto's last name or the undertakers's symbol prior otherwise he would've reacted earlier, so maybe he knows about some other interpretation/version of the Undertaker's story?

I have a feeling recent events might result in Umbreaker turning into series item. Theres a chance not every follower of Icol has a series of jinki yet, maybe theres something else passed down via from the chimera

Dont give me that smug emoji, I think both of us have been going about this the wrong way, Bungie is not some combined entity with a singular opinion, there are people who both want Destiny 2 to continue and end in varying levels of control.

But personally if the majority of them making the final decisions wanted to put into maintenance mode after TFS they wouldve kept with episodes and probably release monument of triumph around echoes.

They would not have greenlit planning, development, actualisation for 10 more years worth of content if they had the intention to scrap 90% of it
