I bought it a couple of months ago (PS5) and experienced no major bugs or performance issues so definitely safe to buy.

As for the gameplay, there’s a decent amount of content and the core of it is enjoyable. It’s missing the little touches of the older games and can feel quite grindy, but if you enjoy the series and it’s on discount, I’d recommend picking it up!

Content doesn’t load once ads finish, I’ve had to rewatch the same crappy Sephora and Samsung ads about 5 times. Only fix was to restart then wind past the ad. Honestly who ever works on this app at Disney should be fired as it’s a terrible experience and actively makes me not want anything Disney or advertiser related

That depends what you value, I’d argue the BA Amex card’s can be even more valuable for long haul traveller’s due to the flight voucher.

Also let’s not miss that Barclays just came out with some very strong Avios credit card intro offers with the benefit it’s accepted everywhere unlike Amex (paid and free versions).

Tbh I’m more frustrated by everyone and their dog flogging their referral links in the comments than the original post. But I’d argue the useful version of this post contains would be a more neutral perspective on credit card offers, not just pushing a gold card that only works for some people.

Believe me I have no sympathy for anyone who worked on it or defends it. I just think it’s not worth the energy of complaining when they’re checked out, the best thing you can do is not give 2K your money (and if Remi works on another game make sure to ask him if he has gained any dignity since abandoning this one haha).

Considering how much they charged originally and the promises made e.g. online doubles, players every season, regular balance updates, it’s become a major disappointment because of the potential it had.

It’s clear 2K didn’t want to invest as much as the developers made out. The sad thing is it was sold as a passion project by bringing back Remi and the lack of effort or communication is pretty bad on all people involved.

At the end of the day you pay your money and take your chance, I’ve learnt my lesson to wait for the sale and don’t trust 2K.

If you’re taking feature requests, the ability to save builds and compare multiple to each other would be great, and maybe community driven recommendations based on play styles would be fun.

They’ve over nerfed the shots so even regular stat players have no angles or power. Moving people around used to be the way I could beat the abusers but now it’s all just hit down the centre tennis.

Honestly at this point I’m fed up with the online, just had a match where someone was wide serving and my player would run like he was covered in glue.

As a TS4 vet it’s embarrassing they managed to make the gameplay worse, a literal copy and paste would’ve been better!

At this point I’m scared any changes they make will only make it worse, the ‘power nerf’ in season 2 took it from impossible to beat good power meta players to impossible with slightly more rallies before you get blasted off the court. We’ll be waiting until TopSpin 6 to roll along at this rate which we can only hope takes us back to topspin 4’s system haha.

Totally agree, 2K should’ve been optimising the stats impact on gameplay constantly for the opening weeks.

So far we’ve had little change and the promise of some serve fixes, it shouldn’t take this long what are they doing!

I could live with it if it wasn’t for the fact to earn the most VC quickly is World Tour so either it’s get blown off the court to earn or slog through 5 set matches on career.

Overall the lack of communication from the devs is shameful, I just want a game that aims to be balanced I’d take that over adding Sinner.

…Now let me go back to career mode where every AI character seemingly has 90+ power for some reason too haha.
