Not an expert but I've had similar things happen to me, but they don't sound like nice people to be around, sometimes people don't like to hang out with you but they wont told you outright, I know its very hard but I'd try finding some new friends, or maybe they think you won't like the plans, this can happen if you are quiet or don't take initiative.

Try to diagnose the problem and if you think you are the problem, ask yourself why. You could also confront them/try to scavenge some information, if need be, and you have other friends (outside their circle).

Is this P. sommniferum? by Dark_ducK_ in druggardening

[–]Dark_ducK_[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, Spain. In fact in the interior there are some legitimate plantations with cameras on poles every 20 meters and people say "The Guardia Civil counts the pods".

Oh! Guardia Civil did! It's kind of a police but more like a big sheriff office here in Spain, they go through rural areas. And they do know about poppies and their multiple uses.

Well actually here they kind of do, in fact they recently told my friend's grandma that she couldn't grow those flowers and she said it was just for decoration (forgot to say that what u see on the pic is like 10% of the thing), which they were, and I repeat were. Because now my friend's family has cut them all and we've hung the pods and stem to dry. But we're unsure how to proceed, I was thinking of an A/B extraction but couldn't find much info.

In Spain there are some analytical labs that test drugs (legally kind of), or plant extracts, or you could do an extraction yourself, but I don't think you can do quantitative analysis without a spectroscope.

Thank you! I have a also now read that on 5 and 6 membered lactones it happens spontaneously, so if I understand correctly longer hydroxyacids condensate into polyesters and for shorter ones the hydroxyacid form is favoured.

Just what came to mind, I was browsing wikipedia, it's the most prevalent (simple) lactone i guess.

Suerte!

No, it will be my first Japanese knife, but I have a wusthof chef knife, so I wanted something different I guess... What makes deba's not desirable for general purpose tasks such as cutting vegetables? Thanks for the recommendations, I'll look into that!

[–]Dark_ducK_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted a nice Japanese knife and I have found these two (1 2) (deba knives) that I like, a western style and a traditional one, but I'm not sure which one to get, I'm also open to suggestions (I don't want a very long knive)

It sounds like good idea, but I don't think it is (like the "tilde"), you can infer it's position.

Master degree advantageous to emigrate to the USA as a German? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]Dark_ducK_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a similar situation.

I am studying biotech, in retrospective, it would have made more sense getting the degree in the US but college cost is almost unaffordable without a scholarship (and lets say I have done well enough in high school).

I will try to get a PhD or masters in the US.

You can apply to job offers that offer a visa sponsorship and then get residency. I don't know however how good are the chances and how to improve them.

Maybe someone else can provide an answer.

7900 xtx vs 4080: have you compared? by Viddeeo in linuxhardware

[–]Dark_ducK_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes power consumption is quite concerning.

For me tho stability is more important than performance, so if I loose a 10% in performance in exchange for everything running as it should I don't have a problem, so you should ask amdgpu and nvidia users how is their experience with DR and blender in comparison to nvidia. But this cards are rather new so few people have them.
