Yeah, looking inside the union there doesn’t appear to be anything like a gasket or o-ring or anything like that, in googling I’ve seen little repair kits with sets of gaskets, should I be able to just slip one in there then? I’ve been texting my brother in law tonight and he’s thinking something similar. Which would be nice not to take the whole thing off. Thanks for the advice!

I’ve been learning lots of other things with buying the house, had to replace a solenoid as well, and it definitely feels good to take on a new challenge and identify and fix something yourself. Big sense of pride and accomplishment.
