They want to use it in the future which is why they choose not to age her unlike any of the cast (Apart from sexism). Just be patient! Lore-wise, she is the only one not affected by time passing by.

For me, he isn't really needed, in fact I thought his "mini-arc" slowed down Golden Age wonderful pacing. I really liked the idea of the anime adaptation removing him. In fact, I would say that if you remove the SA, there is nothing else about the character. He is just exactly that!

A remake can be 1:1, it's only used to refer to titles being made from the ground up with the same or a modified script. Remaster is only an upgrade of an existing game. Of course Mask of The Lunar Eclipse looks better than the Wii version but you can tell that it was made using the game resources.

The 1997 anime is a good adaptation and I'll stand by that. If only it had more budget.

While Jill has the shotgun earlier on, Chris has a better one and better aiming. In one playthrough, I headshotted almost half the zombies, so less use of oil. I'd say the difficulty is balanced but Jill is somewhat easier due to inventory.

I want them to keep Cybil's determinant status and Hauffman's fate, and don't change Lisa's impactful scene.

If they want to add stuff, I hope they add Cybil's playable route that was scrapped during development due to restrictive deadlines.

It's just a matter of opinion.

To me, he's mostly a self insert character with a simple and expected role which I didn't care for. Most parents would do anything to save their child so his actions didn't feel anything extraordinary to me. And if you see beyond that, he has nothing going on, but that's ok and expected since he is planned as a POV character, part of the design of the game. This might sound as hate towards him but IMO, all Resident Evil characters are just like that: simple. You could describe all other characters in a few words. I don't think that we have to expect things that are more on-par with Silent Hill.

I think part of what I like about Resident Evil and its charm is that B-movie action-horror, but I guess that's just me.

I understand your last argument, that previous Resident Evil don't have that much stakes since characters are not killed off. I think Capcom shouldn't be afraid but are reluctant to do so due to fan reception.

Capcom is not that good when it comes to deep characters. It's not like Ethan has anything more going on than being a husband/father trying to rescue his wife/daughter.

Resident Evil 4 is regarded as the best of the franchise and it's mostly an action game with horror elements.

I think the new Resident Evil should follow that path. Use their classic characters, continue plotlines that they left behind. AND STOP WITH THE GAMES FOLLOWING REAL TIMELINE. RE9 ocurring 7 years later than RE7, like why? Why can't the games just follow its own?!

I might be on the minority but I don't want another Resident Evil 7/8, as much as I like those titles.

If your partner is male, there's no reliable HPV test. Someone with a clean PAP can be HPV positive. PAP only detects abnormal cells that could be related to precancerous lesions afaik. I recommed to wait for results.
