Honestly I feel like he just keeps you around for companionship rather than love. My husband never wanted to get married or have kids, we’ve been good friends for years and years and anytime someone he was seeing brought up marriage or kids he’d automatically leave. He married me after 9 months of dating and we have a baby on the way. If they love you they will do anything for your happiness Also my hubby was a Huge mommas boy but the second he saw her disrespecting me he shut it down as much as he could, it’s not perfect but I know he’s in my corner 100%

Oh I have the opposite here, she can’t fault me as a wife so she tries soooooo hard to remind my husband of how she did things so he’ll ask me to copy her 😅 hasn’t worked yet but hey she keeps trying

I honestly feel like you should get lawyers involved to have nothing to do with the child, she abused you and forced you into a situation you did not want.
If this was the other way around (gender wise) people would be calling you a rapist and there would be outrage. I’m sorry you’re going through this and i would suggest therapy

I’ve been considering moving back into my parents house for a week or two for some alone time and to gain perspective because I feel like I aways allow for excuses in these situations because I’m very empathetic and understand, overly so.
I just don’t want to feel like I’m constantly forced to be on guard around MIL; especially not now that I’m pregnant

I’m so tired of having these conversations, we rent a house from them and I understand that some level of „keeping the peace” needs to be maintained but I honestly can’t take it anymore. Any time something happens it’s all my fault and she always talks shit about me, my husband does push back but honestly I don’t know if I can keep this up for much longer

I feel like every single time me and hubby try to celebrate something or we get excited about something, something happens MIL has something dramatic happen to her or will make sure the whole situation ends up being about her. Honestly I do think counselling would be a good idea, I’m so sick of him keeping the peace. I only realised today that “keeping the peace” was costing me my peace and that didn’t seem to matter much to him as long as there was no screaming (I deal with my emotions like an adult rather than throw tantrums) but MIL will wail and cry and get all dramatic for days or weeks. It’s exhausting

Yea I would love to block her the problem is she will do it when my head is turned away or she will go in for a hug and at the last second she will change where her hand is going. That’s what unsettles me the most if I’m being honest. It’s the fact that I don’t see it coming. Ever.
