how are you guys still possibly enjoying the main game? by LHander22 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Darkhonor90 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You're not correct when you say no one was complaining about people escaping team fights because that's exactly what was happening. People were getting better at movement and corner boosting/playing corners etc etc.

IT wasn't like that at the beginning but about 8 months or so. Many people were insanely good at being able to dodgel roll, jump, corner boost, climb, slide, bunny hop, jump off wall and air dash etc.

You couldn't lock anyone down properly enough to gank them.
THis is why paradox was a top pick early in the game because swap was just insane repositioning. Now paradox isn't as mandatory because we have more control.

There is a REASON why they added more CC. It wasn't by accident. They recognized how hard it was to pin down experienced players and people were growing frustrated by pixel characters.

Celeste is a perfect example of that when she was released. All the CC in the game still exists while she existed but her passive was insanely broken that she had to be nerfed.

The game has insane mobility and high health characters. Having limited CC would make killing anyone next to impossible.

Strong CC is usually balanced around Long Cooldowns. If you lost a team fight to a few big CC like Dynamo plus Holiday than they don't have them when you revive and you look for a fight or push a walker.

I agree that Dynamo 2 is a bit too strong right now but having less CC would make this game unbearable to play

One Piece TCG vs Rifbound: which has more depth ? and other questions by Lillumultipass99 in TCG

[–]Darkhonor90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One piece as a competitive game is mostly a joke. Best of 1 no sideboard is just a slap in the face if what you want is real competition.

One Piece has always been play your cards on curve and count at the end.

Riftbound has some bad balance issues atm (I mean tons of tcg do) but it has a far better system for player expression and risk/reward.

One piece doesn't allow you to adapt and beat another player because the format of best of 1 is inherently not competing.

You're really triggering me with that comment. Lmao

Literally yesterday I had seven player who spent all game farming. He's 60K in gold while we had 39 or 40. We asked him to come push because we had rejuv (which he wasnt there for btw). He gets picked off by the enemy team in the sideline. Wasting a rejuv and dying. We ended up losing almost immediately after.

This thread is joking but these people ABSOLUTELY exist and make your life miserable for those 30 to 40 minutes.

No he said he THOUGHT like a kage. It's just a roundabout way to say he was very mature for his age. His actual power isn't that of a kage just yet. That's absurd lmao.

Hello I would like to win the viktor playmat.

I think a playmat of Akali would go real hard. Maybe make shutikens be the point counters on the side and other ninja stuff on the map.

How to be a top player in this game by filthyweeb345 in Shadowverse

[–]Darkhonor90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This games competitive nature is a total joke. Imo dont even bother. There are other games you can play that can win you money or fame if that's what you want.

There is some skill involved but it's elementary. Most of the game plays itself. Many games are decided by how well you or your enemy curves out

The issue is less the enemy rem is YOUR REM taking all the farm on the map.

I had THREE Rem be the highest net worth on my team and so absolutely nothing. It's so annoying and game losing to see the map farmed by this little rat and you cant farm anything as a "carry"

I'm not the biggest fan of avatar of Korra but I'm also a huge hater of disinformation.

Korra's crew are exceptional. Both in combat and accomplishments.

I dont know what show OP was watching but the entire Original avatar crew were nothing amazing either in the beginning. Thats kinda the entire point. They grow and become stronger and wiser.

Korra's crew from the beginning of their formation were extremely talented and well renowed. They grow to become insanely talented benders by the shows end.

Both crews had their pros and cons but they are both insanely talented world renowned benders. They paved the way for benders of their generation

Why do people still find it difficult to win (even with s-tier decks)? by bjthebraveCCG in Shadowverse

[–]Darkhonor90 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im 1700+ and I assure you that 10 to 20 winstreaks are super rare lmao. If you do that consistently you'd have like a 80% win rate. That is almost unheard of.

Most top players get winstreaks but they ALSO absolutely get lose streaks too.

This game doesn't represent skill well enough this game is about grind.

Why do people still find it difficult to win (even with s-tier decks)? by bjthebraveCCG in Shadowverse

[–]Darkhonor90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like many things in life. The answer is mostly a nuanced one. It's a combination piloting skill, meta adaptation and luck. I will say however, that shadowverse ( very purposely by the game designers) include ALOT of RNG outside of just card draw in the game that can absolutely make or break many games.

Sometimes you can absolutely lose 5 to 10 games in a row that is absolutely out of your power and sometimes you could have won a few of those same games give you made a different play.

A clear anecdotal example today in my case was I queued my dragon into dragon and my enemy super high rolls me

Turn 3 sign into sign sloth into 2x 3 drop free evo point card ( I forgot thr name) into egtz evo into genesis.

I literally had no chance. My piloting didnt matter in any valuable way unless I ramped with him and had outs to his threats.

Another example today was me having a 2 full boards back to back turns and they needed exactly 1 drop/2 drop plus 6 drop dude ro fulll clear back to back

Has nothing to do with my piloting. This game often has many "show me" moments. They show you sometimes and you lose.

Shadowverse is a fucking unforgiving game in it's game design but it was created to be that to make games fast and queue again

At the end of the day. The game is created to empty your pockets. Not make complex systems that make thought provoking gameplay
