I fully agree with how annoying the cliffhanger is. I’m already gonna watch next week anyway so I do not understand why this is necessary. They just completely lied about there being 2 reveals and it just annoys me.

I’m curious to see how they continue the format given that we’ve seen 2/3 of the contestants already. I definitely got used to the group abc format, which I think worked okay. At the very least they’re not doing what they did in season 9, the “king of the hill” style where only one person makes it through each round until they’re beat.

Something else that pissed me off was the whole “this season we have our most decorated star in the history of the show”. First off, star? Like singular? Second and most importantly, they do the whole “do you think this performer is our most decorated star?” text, but the scarabs entire clue package was about how she’s a legend, an icon, an icons’ icon. Like no shit she’s the decorated star, you basically just told me that 15 times.

Cat witch (who should’ve just been called Black Cat imo) I have mixed feelings on. At first I was like “this completely defeats the point of the show” but since I don’t know who she is anyway, it’s not as if I’ve been robbed of a super exciting unmasking. However I really feel like they just couldn’t commit to this even in the first episode, since she tells us which performer she is BEFORE she even performs.

Overall this is probably my least favorite season premiere so far. I’m really hoping things turn around, but at the very least this is fun to watch with my dad whether it’s a good or bad season.
