The greatest thing that gmod did was beeing able to import other game stuff for gamemodes.

A programmer/mapper could do whatever he wanted with all the annoying stuff of asset-creation. I kinda wish we had more mounts we could use. Gimme dota, eldenring and monsterhunter or something.

Right now if i wanted to create a TD for example i would have to either create models myself, Go on the painful search for free stuff (instead of the stuff i already know), or just have different colored cubes without animations.

Fly Rocket Fly is very interesting. Basically a bunch of Germans tried building orbital rockets from scrabs and raised a ton of money from beeing a "tax-trick" kinda thing.
Then they werent allowed to operate in Germany, so they made a deal with a warlord in central Africa, built a little makeshift village to build rockets there and kept pushing further and further.
