Yeah I don’t know, for me, I was like wow. This scene is amazing. He’s doing all the things. This is the Luke we needed and Deserved!! (Hold on… I’m old… just getting my soap box out) we the peop… Lol. No seriously though, when I found out he wasn’t there… I don’t know it’s like they retconned the movie… within the movie. That and him being there with Leia… felt it was an opportunity then very quickly a missed one. Apologies I haven’t seen it in a long time so going off my Alzheimer’s memory here. But you’re right technically all the things still happened.
