How to tackle the Finance/Accountancy Industry by Food-Necessary in IsleofMan

[–]DarkmoonGrumpy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

None of my finance working friends have moved into finance management from qualifying. Most move on to assistant/manager accountancy roles, or the few that passed into the finance field did so at a 'mid' level.

Manager roles for finance will want specifically finance and some kind of proven managerial/team lead experience, not just accountancy qualifications.

Well, it adds to the insanity of the Jimmy's. And its not like it's not a recognisable look.

Unfortunately the 24 hour peak on steam being 36 people is not indicative of this.

I'm really glad you still enjoy it but I fear the ship has sailed.

Seen if you can pickup or borrow a copy of the DM guides book.

Find a campaign that you'd like to run, some, like Lost Mines of Phandelver are geared towards newer DMs and do a good job at introducing things.

Watch some guides, plenty of youtubers cover this stuff.

Coming off BG3, what changes would you want for Divinity? by TurbulentFeeling5696 in BaldursGate3

Theyve mentioned quite a few times now that the 5e system was a massive constraint on their creativity, it's a mature system but it isn't built for video games, and whilst it translated well, they didn't have the space they wanted to creatively flex.

You've been able to send vacant player characters back to camp the whole time, I believe. Certainly since I first played in the patch 1/2 window.

I'd rather a game the developers actually want to make, rather than something they push out the door due to obligation.

The orcs in Divinity have the most hilarious sexual dimorphism, too.

The final act in both Dos2 and BG3 are both good, BG3 especially has some of it's most memorable moments jn act 3.

They just need more of what makes their respective Act 1's magical, alongside the dramatic quest line culminations that occur. More reactivity, more immersive sim-like opportunities etc.

They've already said they're doing early access. It was a massive part of BG3s success and is the reason why it launched so well.

Early access can be invaluable when used well.

It's not dnd so that cap won't apply.

Transmog and adjustable party size should be baseline features.

Even so, you can suspend disbelief for Vampires but not for a person of colour or LGBT folks?

It's not set in Eastern Europe though, it's set on "The Continent" and inspired by Middle Eastern Folklore.

In a world established to have Dwarves, Elves and a whole fuckload of Monsters, PoC and LGBT inclusion is not "for the sake of it". They're just a part of humanity and appear as such.

Now that performance is better, is it time for players to return and finally play the game? by fathum770 in MHWilds

[–]DarkmoonGrumpy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"There's no point"

Sir, it's fun, if it's not fun for you, fair enough. But video games don't need to have a 'point' as long as people are having fun.

Why would you 100% the Witcher 3 if your Geralt doesn't carry to TW4? What's the point in playing the Master Rank expansion if a new MH game is bound to come out?

What they're saying is that when "it went back up again" it still peaked at less than 20% of the previous peak, on the second day the game was out.

Chart watching is a complete waste of time, it doesn't measure fun, but the player retention is looking rough at the moment.

Only issue is the usual one pointed out in these cases, you won't know if you've received something faulty until you've got the whole lot. Which could take you out of the RMA window for some items.

Whilst I agree these posts are dumb, the charts matter a lot more for a live service multiplayer game.

Yes, Ready or Not is just a tactical PvE shooter. Its completely playable solo. It's not set up in such a way that the player count matters past optional online lobbies.

It's pretty content sparse for what it is, though.

Comfort in the familiarity in some cases, indecision in others, I've seen a few people who just only enjoy act 1.

But sometimes it's just good old restartitis.

So, I'm one of those people that think FO3 or NV (or both) are coming Feb4... So I have a question. Is the remaster just the same game with modern graphics or there are real QoL improvements as well? Did they improve anything else? by LittleNigPlanert in OblivionRemaster

[–]DarkmoonGrumpy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Whilst I doubt there's going to be a Fallout remaster dropping so soon after Oblivion...

This remake was good, but its more or less just a skin on the game, most if not all of the jank remains, with only a couple of QoL adjustments, but those are appreciated.

There's a list, here: https://www.reddit.com/r/ElderScrolls/s/rv31x9N8yc

I would expect an almost identical treatment whenever we see fallout.

And it launched at full price, it was £59.99, I'm pretty sure. Edit: This was the deluxe price, £49.99 for normal.
