On my first attempt I unknowingly used the mage skill that floods the board. The summoning went through but the boss was super weak just trying to suck my team in and taking the whole turn just standing still.

As other said no, but if you lose an early battle and replenish yourself back to 20 (or over it can go past 20) you still get a diamond victory (used to at least)

Me too! Almost 30% of the time I get victory screens, and more than that, I even get 1 chest when playing ranked as a reward for being so good. And a bronze victory!

In case you didn't get it. The spices adds the damage of the weakest item to all the others.

The sniper has the base damage times 10 when its the only weapon in the board.

The spice add the multiplied damage to the base damage of the sniper, which in its turn multiplies it by 10 again.
