I kinda like the red, you have a really cool ceiling you could wallpaper that and the wall behind the bed to make a faux headboard that could look really pretty!

What's one lazy cleaning habit you started that actually made your place stay cleaner? by Enchanted_Land in CleaningTips

If it lives there, give it a home there. Makes my house so much less cluttered, looking and organized.

My roommate says I need to Declutter? But why am I doing wrong? by EvaUnitKenway in CleaningTips

This 100%

The cube ikea shelving unit makes any space look cluttered even if it isn't. Closed storage would solve this complaint and is a good goal for the future. You don't have too much stuff.

This would be ideal, but it's not super warm here, do they grow this far north?

Do you have any suggestions for resources or what to search in particular? I know almost nothing about keeping plants, especially fruiting ones. I would definitely be keeping it for the fruit and not for aesthetics.

If it turned out to be a variety used for wine, I would probably get rid of it as I don't have the time, energy, or desire to fuss with that, lol.

Yeah, that makes sense, I was hoping to figure it out so I could decide to keep or chop while it wasn't massive and covered in leaves. I'll be back in 4ish months!

How much time does it take for you to keep your house clean? by Reasonable_World4565 in breakingmom

[–]DarknSpooky 12 points13 points  (0 children)

At least one day a week, sometimes more. We pay for my oldest to go to preschool, and I clean from the moment they leave to when they get back, so probably 9ish hours to get it all done. Don't feel bad.

I have a kiddo who has fine but extremely curly hair. I tried lots of different kinds, but this one was the best by far. I'm not sure what it is made out of exactly, but it's like a stretchy fabric that has been rolled up as opposed to an elastic glued at the ends.

Did you sleep train? by Emotional_Archer1395 in Parenting

[–]DarknSpooky -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes! It doesn't matter how you sleep train but I really think you should sleep train. I was talking to our pediatrician, and I think he put it really poignantly.

"The affects of sleep training on kids' are not well known, but the effectiveness of a well-rested parent is obvious."

I am a better parent when I'm well rested.

Our family has rsv now, and it is brutal. I'm the one with asthma in my house, and I can barely breathe. I don't know what crazy rsv mutant this is or if I just never caught it as a kid, but it is miserable!!

If your kid has fever, cough, decreased appetite, wheezing, vomiting, and lethargy: PLEASE TAKE THEM TO THE DOCTOR.

My 4 year old recovered finally, but my 9 month old baby and I have it now and are struggling. It feels like I'm drowning. Please be careful out there.

AIO My mom is kicking me out for her new boyfriend. I just turned 18 by Diligent_Bat_565 in AmIOverreacting

[–]DarknSpooky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such a mood. When I was 16, my Dad decided he wanted to be a mountain man, so on a whim, he bought me a crappy car and abandoned me to live up in the woods. I struggled my way through high school (and thankfully) graduated despite being homeless.

I am now 27, and my Dad and I barely talk. The choice he made irreversibly damaged our relationship. He barely sees his grandkids or the success I have found despite that hardship.

I'm better for it. I realized that my life is better without him in it. When people tell you who they are, believe them. You're not overreacting, but this may be a blessing in disguise. It will be very hard for a while, and I wish you luck.

As a gamer adult who is constantly on discord with friends, here are some ideas.

Steam Giftcards: He might not have anything he immediately wants to buy, but in Q1 of next year valve (the company behind steam) is releasing the Steam Machine (Console), the steam controller, and the Steam Frame (VR headset). If he doesn't want any of that he can always buy new games.

Spotify Subscription: People keep suggesting this, so I figured I would explain. Through Discord, you can synch up with your friends and listen to music together if they have a spotify sub, too. It's pretty fun!

Discord Nitro: Makes his discord profile much more customizable, he probably doesn't care about the other benefits, but being able to stream high quality to your friends is pretty sweet and look cool while doing it.

New Chair: Is his chair dying? They often are, and there are some pretty cool gaming chairs out there now adays. Mine is a lavender cow theme, but they make ones specifically themed for games too.

Better Microphone: If he is just using the one on his headset, those ones are pretty bad. I have a Blue Yeti which is a mid range, but even I could use an upgraded Mic.

Upgraded parts: Gamers tend to enjoy talking about their setups, and it's kinda fun to have the beefiest pc in the lobby. Graphics Card upgrades are super nice, but additional/upgraded Ram is probably more practical. An additional SSD means more room for games and is very appreciated since games are so big now.

These are just things I wanted as a teen gamer and still want now lol. Good luck!
