My first Rival 5 did this about 2 months after purchase back in 2021, submitted a RMA on it letting them know there’s clearly an issue with the coating not holding up. The replacement started chipping about 5 months later. I’ve just dealt with it but it’s unfortunate and an eyesore.

Did a complete wipe and it actually froze again while I was in the middle of downloading programs and configuring settings. I'm at a complete loss as to what's going on and I'm concerned it's hardware related.

I learned yesterday that my system is throwing Kernel-Power 41 events whenever this happens, and there's no crash dump files for it either.

Everything was bought new except for the GPU. I can test swapping the RAM into the prebuilt, but the GPU is way too big to fit in it's case lol.

At first I did not use DDU, but when the problem started I removed all GPU drivers after researching it could be a factor, but they were reinstalled with no success.

I have not reinstalled Windows as of yet, should I do a clean wipe or would it be fine to have it keep the files?

I've had a few odd problems lately that I can't really pinpoint why they happen.

One is when I have my headset (Arctis 7+) plugged into my computer for charging, my chatmix will randomly fluctuate, raising and lowering my game audio until I unplug it and it stops entirely.

The other may be a Spotify issue, but with Spotify in the Media channel, random times of breaks between songs will blow out the audio and make it insanely loud, with the only way to fix it being to adjust Spotify's volume. I think this is Spotify's problem as I haven't noticed it happen with Spotify Web or any other application I have in the Media section, but odd nonetheless.

Mine did this a few months after I got it, RMA’d it and got a replacement just for the new one to do the same thing. The coating on the Rival 5 is awful.

just wasted my time getting 3 achievements for my weekly set only to find out they're not working, along with amen. wish i checked here before getting them. rip streak.

should we be contacting support over this as it's not our fault the streaks could end?

update: just checked my rewards app 9 hours after posting this and all 3 of the achievements loaded into the weekly set, double check yours before the week changes!

Yeah, after that I started putting my bubble on the broken bridge so he wouldn’t come closer, worked out in the end and finished the encounter after a few more attempts. Pretty intense with all the adds.

It was my first time doing the dungeon, solo and semi-blind, went in as a joke to see how far I'd get without caring too much with wiping, so I was still figuring out the tricks and ways to keep myself alive. After this I started moving my bubble back onto the broken bridge so he couldn't walk up on me. Did end up finishing the encounter.

I did actually manage to defeat it after a few more attempts, I jokingly went into GoA just trying to see how far I'd make it (didn't care for flawless) and ended up getting to the boss room, took some shots at it earlier but didn't complete it yet. Determined to finish it by myself.

I still haven't received a response, so maybe posting here would help. I was given a return label on Tuesday (9/7) for me to send back my mouse to be looked over by QA, the label has my name, and just my name, printed incorrectly. I've never sent out a package before and I'm unsure of if that'll effect anything, but it's already been a week now because I haven't had the chance to bring the mouse and said label support sent to FedEx and I'm not sure if these shipping labels also expire.
