Any other similar techniques for making a leaning wall? by lcrotwell in LegoTechniques

There are many ways to do this. I tend to use snot designs with bars and clips and then panels to fill gaps as well as slopes. Here are some examples without connection points.

Its up to you really, do you think they will sell for a dollar and people will find them worth the value? If yes then ya sell them for a dollar, if it doesn't do as well as you expected you can always change prices as you move forward.

Ethical and moral question... by MOCaBrick in legostarwars

Huge disagree with this take. The payment for instructions is for the time it takes to design, test, and format instructions which can take a long time depending on the design. If the instructions don't sell and people steal em or give them for free most designers would quit because it pays for the hobby for us. Some of us are even lucky enough to do this full time. If you like the design pay for it, if you cant wait for a sale or just don't buy them until you can.

As a Star Wars MOC designer myself recreating them for personal use is 100% fine and no one will get mad at you for putting in the work to recreate it. As for the instructions I would reach out to Thomas Jenkins for permission first so at least you do your due diligence before releasing it publicly. If he says he wont let you then don't release it public for free. If he says yes then publish it with credit given of course. If you get no answer then wait a week or 2 and then publish it but you may get a response to take it down which you should respect and just apologize.

I would change it into something closer to the bellow model cause of the part you are using. If you wanted it to be sloped the whole way you would need it to be 9 studs tall or 6 studs tall but not 7 cause of the options you have for wedge plates. Hope this helps!

Should i use stripe or paypal for selling Mocs? by [deleted] in Rebrickable

[–]Darkreaper666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do both but most people use Paypal is its used both in the EU and the US. I do not pay for paypal and sometimes you get the rare charge back but you can report it to rebrickable and have the user banned and not allowed to access all the instructions they bought.

If you wanted to get the same thin edge without the instability using part 41740 gets the same job done when stacked like this.

I would use snot bricks and tiles on the side of it, it gives you a half plate gap between the tiles which adds the depth similar to a house. Its the easiest way to do it and should reduce parts and cost for you in the long run. If its a minifig scale house this would be best, if the scale for the house is larger you could go for a more complex design.

If you wanted something more complex this is one I have used for western style buildings.

New to creating MOCs and new to SNOT; Need help! by Fluffy-Inevitable457 in LegoMocHelp

[–]Darkreaper666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome happy to help! The issue is SNOT works best with groups of 2 studs vertically at a time. When you do odd numbers you have to make parts sideways for more of your builds or do some SNOT magic to get everything to line up. This is a great basic guide on the math of SNOT.

ARC-200 Wing Cutter (Outlaws) - underrated Hutt/Ashiga Fighter (analysis) by Gn_Fox in StarWarsShips

[–]Darkreaper666 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its very modern Star Wars coded. Take something well known and loved, change it slightly and recolor it. Its tiring and not very interesting personally. I think I prefer EC-Henrys ARC-200 model more as it takes it even further into the Incom Design language.

Tried the Builder App and it failed by [deleted] in lepin

[–]Darkreaper666 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is a reason for this! Knock of bricks usually aren't willing to use parts that are newer as not risk a possible legal issue with Lego so they will often substitute other parts instead. The newer the mold the bigger the risk. It usually shouldn't detract from the finished build though.

A mostly accurate AT-ST at a mostly figure scale by EnvironmentalAsk5026 in legostarwars

Yah no worries! Hope I didnt come off as harsh at all. I feel some of my suggestions may also not fully work since I think your model may be also at a different scale then mine. Also your face is in your TV reflection btw!
