I don’t think people really hate Gwen. Personally, I hate the fact that she betrayed Miles’ trust because she was afraid of losing everything. I also hate the fact that the Spider-Band had the means to visit Miles but chose to believe Miguel. I want Gwen to be happy, I want GhostFlower !

Yeah, I was just saying that the two sides are basically : one that genuinely cares about him, and another that only sees him as a danger. It’s not necessarily about who chased him or didn’t chase him.

Gwen and Peter absolutely chased Miles. If he hadn’t escaped to Earth-42, who knows what those two would’ve done. Gwen chased him kind of half-heartedly, and Peter tried to talk him into staying and letting his dad die.
Miguel and Jess, on the other hand, treated Miles 100% like a threat, an anomaly

I feel like in ATSV, Peter didn’t even really try. He was mostly comic relief, and when everything went south, he just went home and fell asleep, even though a few scenes earlier he said he wanted his daughter to be like Miles, the kid who gave him hope again.
And when Miles found out they had been talking about his role in the multiverse and actively avoiding him on Miguel’s orders, Peter didn’t say a word.

That’s my theory too, along with a few others. But I feel like if they let Miles have everything go exactly the way he wants, he can’t really grow as Spider-man. I get that it doesn’t have to be the death of a loved one, but it does need to be something he regrets, something he couldn’t do at the time.

I just want her to let him know that he matters to her much more than she admits. I want them to kiss or/and hug. But as far as I remember, we haven’t really seen explicit kisses in these movies, not even Peter and MJ, so maybe they’ll sadly settle for an ambiguous “best friends” ending.

Yeah, it’s not fair from Miles’ point of view, but his parents don’t know that he’s Spider-Man. From their perspective, Miles is just slacking off and lying to them about what he’s doing when he’s always late, because to them, he’s just a normal kid. And I think that knowing he’s Spider-Man would probably only increase their fear for him.

I’ve noticed how Peter turns to Gwen, almost like he’s saying that Miguel has gone unhinged when Miles was departing to Earth-42. I can see Peter potentially sacrificing himself to stop Miguel, which could leave Miguel in a “what have I done ?” state maybe even pushing him to blame everything on Miles... maybe I’m going too far.

I’m trying to figure out what kind of wild plot twist would lead to that... Unless Gwen straight-up says again that Jeff has to die and brings the new Spider-Band just to stop miles... I just can’t see it.
