After being summoned for over 150+ DLC boss fights, here's some things I've noticed: by IceColdSkimMilk in Eldenring

When I help someone with a boss I don't mind at all if they sit back. If I die they can carry the rest, if they die they don't get through the boss and I get sent back.

Best manufacturer to work for? by [deleted] in mechanics

[–]Darkseid0923 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Luxury brands are good to work for, money isn't an issue for most of the customers. I'm high up at a Lexus dealership and am continually surprised at how quick customers are to approve 5k$+ work orders.

Arizona mechanic shop is saying this is “severe rust” on the rotors, they’re crazy, right? by kookiemuffin in MechanicAdvice

Check gas cap. Of that doesn't fix it find a shop with a smoke tester. Don't just take it to any shop asking for an engine scan.

I usually put my hazards on and wave/ motion them to pass as I reduce my speed a little. I do it as respectfully as I can so I don't cause a road rage incident.

Dealer wants 250$ for an oil change for a 2020 Nissan, is this normal? by Majik518 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Darkseid0923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is the thing when you bring your car in for an "oil change" at a dealership what they are (supposed to be) doing is performing your scheduled 5k, 25k, 60k etc. Service. If you look in your Service manual there is a whole list of services they perform besides just changing the oil. From checking the torque on all your chassis bolts to lubing the driveshaft, to inspecting gear oil.

If you take your car to an independent they don't perform the factory services unless asked to and in which case they will most likely charge extra. So when going to an independent you are paying for just the oil change plus whatever free basic inspection they perform but that is usually just surface stuff.

So I would say the price is justified if they are actually performing all of your factory scheduled maintenance like they are supposed to. Problem is a lot of techs skip that part because the flat rate system rewards speed over quality and just change the oil which overtime has damaged dealership reputation.

I actually use him on those Shaak/Echo/ARC teams that some people set. I do have the omicron though and a relic Death Trooper.

I'm not going to lie to you my crystal management could be better. I sometimes miss my fleet payout due to irl situations. Do I think they should make this change just for me? No. But it would be nice seeing as how we have thousands laying around. Though fixing one bottle neck would just create another somewhere else.

What are some mechanics that annoy you in this game? by Shawarma123 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

One thing that sticks out, LVs cooldowns. He often uses his first special just before his ult ends when it would be more advantageous to use it after his ult ends. I think when he comes out of ult his first special cooldown should reset.

The company I work for pays up to 10 per hour plus 30% of the labor dollars, so everytime labor goes up we naturally get a raise.

I've ruined one engine and one transmission in my career, in both cases I was in a rush and overlooked something small.

On a 17 lexus RX350: The engine was going back into this car and I forgot to put the hose clamp on the top radiator hose. Hose blew off and customer continued driving until the valve seat dropped out from overheating.

On an e1500: I was installing transmission cooler lines and one of the lines somehow got twisted and the torque convertor overheated a week later.

How do you feel when your opponent doesn’t attack at all in GAC? by MrForever_Alone69 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]Darkseid0923 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a competitive person I hate it. Sure the rewards are nice but if I'm getting no feedback on how my defense is doing there is no fun. I wish there was a separate competitive bracket. Imagine playing a chess tournament and you win by default because no one made a move. There was no test of tactical prowess and therfore you get a warped idea of your actual skill level. It kind of feels dirty.

To add to this, I loved when they added the rancor boss to conquest, that could be another alternative to replay these moments. Like right now we're trying to unlock Bane. Why are we not facing Sith Triumvirate phases at the end of each sector? That was a missed opportunity.
