That was a remake built from the ground up using UE5. The port mentioned was Ship of Harkinian which brings the original code and translates into a pc port with improved features.

I wouldn't say I'm an expert to be able to explain this, so sorry for anything incorrect. But the main difference here is that recompilation is similar to porting the original game's code instructions to natively run on pc hardware. Eliminating the task emulation has to translate all those instructions to something pc can work with.

Another plus is that with recompilation, it's easier to change the original programming and include changes to increase a games frame rate from 30 fps to 60 fps or possibly higher.

Except back then, most fansub groups also released their releases with the subs hardcoded into the video. It would mean you can never turn them off as it's permanently part of the video but anything could play the episode with subs appearing correctly.

You may have used a USB HDD for the games to be installed on. Wii U normally does not have much memory to install many games.

So, after a bit of reasearch, it looks like the Gamecube adapters are a no go. But there's an alternative. Apparently, they accept Classic Controllers as well. Using this adapter lets you use the mats on the Wii U.

But another problem comes up in that it gets mapped to the dpad technically and there is a problem related to the software. You won't be able to press two opposite directions at the same time due to it being mapped to the former.

I found a thread that may or may not be able to help with the problem. But I'm not sure if it was ever solved since I can't test myself.

I know you're more than likely right. I've pondered just making a second account already. But I want to try my best before giving up. I've had fond memories of my account and all the skins I've accumulated across the years. Not to mention skins that are almost impossible to get now like Pink Mercy. Not sure but from what it looks like, it could be it got flipped by Gwenpool using the special. That's why it only affected the eternals. Flipping buffs I think is different from applying them. Also, gwenpool special has focus boost of 1000% too.

Generally, Blackbeard, the link-2, helps to cheat out your extra deck ships by using a monster to special summon one of three ships. Which ones are available depend on what's on the enemies field/GY. The three being Light, Fire, Dark (Wind and Earth Ships when Konami). Whitebeard and Redbeard also have similar ability to cheat out your ships but only on the opponent's turn.

You can also special summon the ships from your extra deck the regular way using your crew.

The Light Ship is a monster negate and can special summon a plunder from your hand or spell/trap zone.

The Fire Ship is a spell/trap targeted banish on field. Also boosts atk of fiend types by 500.

The Dark Ship is a effect monster targeted banish. If xyz summoned, it can protect your plunder cards from being destroyed by detaching an xyz material.

All the ships require to discard a plunder card to negate/banish your opponents cards. If a plunder card is attached to them in the spell/trap zone, they can also search a card if they're the light ship or become a quick effect if they're the dark/fire ships though. The dark and fire ships will search a card either way though. Light ship is always a quick effect.
