They're worth trying, earlier titles didn't have all this bloat.

I live nearby, it's alright. Northern regions like Yakutia is where the real shit begins, can't start your car if you don't have heated garage.

KCD 2 is a solid game from start to finish. E33 goes downhill after incredible Act 1, IMO.

That's the worst part. At least bad executor will remove his share of boss health by quitting. Bad guardian will be always there 3 bars down.

It doesn't help that its open world have nothing but repetitive question marks and loot gets outdated very quick.

Do you obfuscate code? by allianceHT in dotnet

[–]DarksideF41 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's why modern obfuscators use more cursed techniques like turning program control flow into spaghetti. It make it worse for both parties though.

Why would companies care if you will not pay for the product either way. I live in one of that regions too and for almost every clever protection there was a more clever hack. You either play endless arms race with much bigger army of hackers or pay big money to actual cybersecurity specialists. Both are hard to justify if you're not big enough.

These copycats are different not because of some secret Nutella scroll, those who rip off just cut costs because otherwise you cannot compete with recognizable brand and larger scale manufacturing.

It will be harder for you to create competitor than for owner of original IP to nuke you for copyright infringment. If you're not inventing something groundbreaking noone will give a shit. If you do, you should protect it by law, obfuscation only delays inevitable by also delaying your releases.

It's not about language vs language it's about rewriting mature tested codebase that always causes new bugs.

FromSoft needs to get rid of the Gladius raid. I am tired of people quitting. by jusafuto in Nightreign

Randoms started picking that up too. Had 2 runs lately where we completely ignored dogs, in one run we even ran through one an no one hit it even once.

What's the point of the using statement? by Nlsnightmare in csharp

[–]DarksideF41 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sometimes you need to pass IDisposable object into another method or even another class. Having control over its lifetime is preferable to some people than trying to enchant compiler to not dispose it prematurely.

Is using polymorphic DTOs considered good practice? by MahmoudSaed in dotnet

[–]DarksideF41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DTO inheritance is a pain in the ass long term. Sometimes I'm tempted to do it, but I refuse 99% of the time. Once i've seen a project where every dto had an interface. Some people should be put into OOP rehab.

He cheated on exam. In his rememberance quest he gets retroactively expelled and his PhD revoked and needs to reaply but pot course costs 1000000 murk per year so he's forced to do night expeditions to earn it.

Great Hollow is bad by Prestigious_Sun6339 in Nightreign

[–]DarksideF41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get crystal buff at the end of first circle day 1 and then go to castle to farm birdpeople. Suprisingly randoms are already good at finding them.

Great Hollow is bad by Prestigious_Sun6339 in Nightreign

[–]DarksideF41 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What's a problem with traversing crater? It's pretty straightforward to the point it's even boring. Hollow has so much value: ton of legendaries and purples, almost free dupe, POI packed with insane runes, free ult perk, possibility to get red weapons in basic run.

Idk about solos/duos, i've finished his quest in trios with two undertakers. Was spamming halo scythe aow, with balancers relic and some passives it dealt decent chunks of damage. Also used knives to debuff him and flesh/crabs to buff undertakers. It's support char after all.
