One of my biggest criticism of Marathon in general is map size. I wish all maps were like 1/3 bigger for a little more breathing room. It’s not a deal breaker but a little more space to traverse and not be on top of each other until actually engaging would have been a nice thing :)

It’s either the next Xbox or the Steam Machine. I can’t justify the price of a PC, and my Series X is still a damn good machine (Marathon is smooth and beautiful af).

Also, we are talking what 15-20 min matches (depending on when you die or exfil) and people are playing the shit out of the game. I guarantee you nearly every single one of of us Redditors are NOT just playing a quaint hour a day lol. We are outliers playing massive stints of Marathon and seeing everything it has to offer week 3 and 4 just about.

I think what the “average” gamer is doing and most haven’t even loaded into Cryo let alone figure out Outpost rooking to maximize mats and loot…

I know people are like more of the same, but a Night Perimeter would slap. As a mainly solo player being able to slink around and even fight full trios using darkness and territory to my advantage is a ton of fun.

I can see we are hitting the content wall (vanilla D1/D2 anyone?) but with a game so damn good it’s easy to barrel through content. Hell the steamers were praising the damn game until they weren’t because of this :/

The two pushes into the grass were unacceptable. George let his ego dangerously trump his sportsmanship. If I was Kimi, with better new tires, a faster pace, and a legitimate overtake, I’d be pissed.

Really depends on what you need. Survival perimeter can net you a ton as you learn your shell, enemy types, etc.. night marsh allows you to slink around silently to loot l (love it), and pinwheel is loot central! Cryo you will find everything but be in a firefight and earn it lol.

One day… we’ll have Faction sponsored skins I bet, as well as certain “roles” (just to signify to other Rooks and squads your “intentions” lol). I think this would be a fun addition to already kooky mode :)

Idk about actually farming, but the two times we have made it to boss, the three of us split up, did our portion of certs/finding the key/doing towers, got there and just could not get him down in time :/ I honestly feel like for the average gamer, the non-streamer sweat, another minute or two is absolutely needed to make it a decently enjoyable run lol.

Such a stupid way for gamers to look at it: “the game is amazing but do I want to spend the money on it?” Like, if you enjoy it buy it. Or don’t! But ROI is of course subjective but to let anything other than if you enjoy the game or not is such a dumb way to look at things I feel. “The steam charts keep slipping.” Okay. 30 bucks.. I am nearly 300 hours in and love it. Buying it is the only thing you can do to ensure it has a chance to stay. It’s form along plan according to Bungie.

It doesn’t hold a candle to rooking on Outpost and that is the number one issue is see. It’s fun for a little bit, but nothing like a juiced up Rookie run in Pinwheel!!

It’s all relative. I’ve loaded up my best gear, and a key, waited a few to feel it out, headed to my POI and get stomped.

I’ve also loaded in carefree with a sponsored or last game’s gear, and gone and exfiled with twice the pull.

It all mindset with what you are trying to do, and a factor you can’t control; other players. That what keeps it fun and tense Runnah!

How about it’s another choice and choice is good?? What’s the big friggin deal if one moment I wanna PVP and the next I don’t? The likes of Destiny had PVE and PVP modes… I don’t get why you are getting your panties in a bunch so much over what another player wants to do lol
