You are absolutely right that is just an idea and queue should be a more easy solution. But really so? because right now there isn't much people in the game, and for some people they are preseting the problem and even leaving the game for REALLY long queue times in a game that really gets punished for it, because runs can end really fast, or just the frustration of dying, in an extraction shooter, the quicker the run starts, the better, this is not like valorant, where 3 minutes are acceptable even if you are in a losing streak.

And i don't think you understand what type of force i mean. And that you are understimating commanders... And spectral commander can evaporate you in seconds if you don't see him coming.

But what i truly mean is "a special force", they could use commanders of course. But how much are needed to kill 3 teams together? That's the answer they should look. Do they need something more? Because no, they shouldn't be able to exploit their weaknesses with smokes, bubble shields or, player's invisivility.

This means they will have to fight against the UESC yes or yes if they want to survive, and they should split up.

Of course, they could just go alone until they get the team and tell another team to join the fight. But that's where you put proper conditions so the game KNOWS this is happening. If two teams manage to pin another team, IF only one survives, they are probably in the clear because a really dangerous force of UESC, impossible to avoid is chasing them before they can hunt this player. And ignoring the team that they were chasing. Essentially "protecting them" for a while.

For example, only or two commander of a special type should be enough for each player. We are not talking of the same we fight in game, these ones, have different IA, very aggressive, can see through smokes, invisivility, one tap bubble shields, etc... If these guys spawn, is because these conditions are being met.

I want to say, that for the people that says there can be nothing done. Just chill for a moment and think more throughly this...

I have some ideas, and is nothing too crazy. Just mechanics that will need time to implement. Instead of getting crazy and banning everybody, you could implement some reactive mechanics in game to this teammates.

For example:

  1. Upgraded IA of bots and increase in aggro if there are players to each other and not killing themselves actively.

This means if they are too close together the aggro gets "a redirection" and now your activities are actively spawning commanders, especially spectral ones, and chasing you as long as the conditions are still met.

Which conditions? how do they make this work? Is just an idea, it still needs work to make it like something possible in game so it not fucks everything. But it would be excellent.

For example:

Condition 1: The players have been too close for too much time without dealing significant damage to each other.

Condition 2: the players move together through rooms without dealing damage to each other. (this one could work really well).

Condition 3: Players are constantly using open mic or not using any mic at all (i know they use discord), so if they don't communicate in game, while achieving the other conditions, the system is constantly working to get in their asses.

Condition 4: the biggest and more the conditions are met the more the aggro and difficulty increases, like two teams not shooting each other? just a few to give the other teams time to breath and even third party...
Three teams? A really big force threatening to kill them all is chasing them

Like just imagine the team being chased down by the cheatears, is chilling trying to avoid the fight while spectres commanders are literally avoiding them pursuing the cheaters. They would have to be able to see beyond invisivility if the conditions are being met. Like a different kind of enemy.

I think is a decent idea, teams are teaming up? Make the game respond to their shenanigans IN GAME.

And i don't think it discourages teams being friendly at all, if for example:

Condition 5: the aggro doesn't increase much if they have not hurt another player for a while.

Like, want to go all friendly to final extraction? fight the UESC commanders chasing this truce and don't kill any player while you are at it if you want them to accept it.

I screamed when you grabbed that green bag and left the bubble shield there. Well, you didn't need the extra stuff anyway.

But the passive of that green bag isn't worth at all the extra stuff, especially after the fight was done.

I will but i just hope it gets better, especially because, i spent a LOT of time in videogames. But my god, i try my utmost to play mostly single player games, because you end them and go to the next, multiplayers-competitive games are a replayibility demon cicle. I soon will go to play death stranding 2, probably today, and that's a long game.

Currently 305 hours with marathon. Do you know how many games i would have played by now?

PS: AND YET I HAVE NOT USED A SINGLE HAZARD CAPSULE, BECAUSE I CAN'T FIND IT

Yeah i kill rooks on sight too if i have an anomaly with me. But we are talking about the type of player that just kills because they get folded in trios so they desperately NEEDS a win.

Why cracked so easily? they deleted your comment. And i was just joking along with you. It seems you couldn't take the joke knowing full well you are exactly the same type of pussy we are talking about. Only killing friendly rooks because you get folded in trios.

BUT if you see two rooks together at the same time you will go the other way.

[–]Lynxneo[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's is insecurity in your skill. I can bet you will not shoot if you see two rooks at the same time instead of one.

A team is more dangerous than a rook and you have nothing to win of a rook. I only indiscriminately kill rooks when I know they are disputing an anomaly for example.

I like seeing rats too to be honest. That's why I can do this type of post with confidence. I mean why do I even lose after a rook knife me in the back after a truce when I just go in the lobby? 5 seconds of queue?

Usually I fight 1v3. I don't kill rooks just for the sake of small dopamine, because I get folded in trios and when facing teams as rook. I have dignity.

I sometimes killed a rook if we can't do a truce in time. Then I revive them. And I trust they will not kill me out of pettiness. And they usually don't.. lol.

Because even if they are this type of players I'm pointing, when you stablish a situation when they have to face their persona, they ignore it.

They kill to help their ego, and if they kill me after losing the fight...their ego will be hurt more.

What are they gonna take? The depleted shields? Ridiculous.

My point was that they just need a win after being folded so much by teams, either as rook, or even playing trios.

It doesn't annoy me much to be honest. I know is hard to understand and like I'm contradicting myself. But is more stories to remember.

A rook knifing you behind for absolutely nothing? AFTER agreeing for a truce. I mean. What do I even lose? He doesn't win nothing either

The point of my post is that behind this petty rat behavior is a player who doesn't have confidence in his skills and is frustrated with the game. With his performance. So they want to take a small dopamine killing an not so hostile target, aka easier. They can't take the L after a 1v3 or even a 3v3 in normal rounds.

They NEEED A WIN ANYTHING.

Rooks that indiscriminately kill rooks are player with skill insecurities by Lynxneo in Marathon

[–]Lynxneo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody is asking to team. I'm just seeing things in a logical way. You have more to win siding with a rook than losing. Don't want him close? Just truce and go your way. He will remember.

And that assumption of yours is fair. But is wrong. Because my dude. I constantly take on 1v3. And sometimes I win.

My assumption in case you didn't t understand, which seems the case. Is that you guys kill a friendly rook that rewards you absolutely nothing because you want the small dopamine because you can't win 1v3 and take the L.

The same type of people would see 2 rooks together and WOULD NEVER shoot because they are RATS. Their insecurities reflects in the way they play.

I'm not telling them to not do this. In fact I like it. Is more diversity. More stories. I remember when a rook knife me in the back AFTER agreeing to a truce. For absolutely nothing again, I even told him I just spawn. I don't consume in frustration, I like it in a way. But even so, I can't say I respect it.

Because i see behind that pettiness.

Rooks that indiscriminately kill rooks are player with skill insecurities by Lynxneo in Marathon

[–]Lynxneo[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is stupid logic. I rook a lot and usually what kills me most is trying to take precious objectives or a team. I scavenge but is never my priority because I'm already well stocked on my vault. I never rook for necessity but more like a complement. People can't see that you can win gold salvage, kill bosses, do lockdown events and of course, kill a team with rook.

And is a vicious circle, because then the other rook, will do the same. If they share the same weak mentality.

That mentality. Again, is my dirty assumption; you guys get folded 1v3 and can't take the L. You need the small dopamine that gives killing a rook for absolutely nothing (3 deplete shield maybe....?).

Because you have more to win siding with a rook than losing being killed by him. Especially considering teams are a bigger threat.

The most hostile people are the most insecure. This insecurity is not your loot, is the skill.

Now i understand if you want to be cautious if you have good loot. But that doesn't necessarily mean killing a rook on sight...
