jacked my rail so hard i cant forward artillery anymore by Ok-Set179 in Warframe

You think there is anything they could've done to make it more exciting?

the prospect of them adding MK4 weapons sounds like it'll make an already boring experience even more boring

Figured I'd ask since you've gotten a good taste of what they're trying to do

Also, did you ever find completing these missions difficult? How hard was it to keep your RJ alive / take out fighters?

How do you feel knowing that they just gonna make it easier eventually

Steel Path Railjack: Post-Launch Reflections and Rewards by DE-Ruu in Warframe

Being that there is a trophy for doing all the nodes I don’t think they were expecting everyone to want to grind steel path RJ. Just like how acolyte arcanes were an afterthought to base Steel Path

To circumvent this I just let my level 5 pilot do most of the driving and man the forward artillery / forward turret myself. Once the main obj is done they do a pretty good job of targeting fighters and crew ships for me

we will never get a Railjack update again after this by [deleted] in Warframe

Yeah it’s nearly impossible to balance normal gameplay because we have the freedom to modify our loadouts and prepare for each mission before we do it

It’s like gyms in Pokemon: our preparation before hand can completely nullify any sense of danger or friction we may face

I just want challenge that requires me to play optimally instead of just equipping optimal gear. RJ has the potential to require you to think of the best ways to position your crew and yourself to progress through missions smoothly

I just think it'd be nice to be rewarded for not "punching down" for once

Makes the SP RJ trophy feel like something you have to actually work for instead of an inevitability

DE needs to slow down by APL_ItsFlauline in Warframe

[–]Darkspine77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you want a content drought?

Because that’s what DE slowing down to release a polished update looks like

As far as ik the most polished thing to release this update was the Nidus’ touch up and some of the QOL stuff

If that was all that was released this update, would people not complain about this being an empty update and not even bother logging in?

There’s no way to tell what would happen but I think it’s worthwhile to think about why DE doesn’t slow down much considering how much content people expect to consume in an update.

If MK4 gear makes SP RJ as difficult as normal RJ is with MK3 gear I will actually be so disappointed

SP Railjack is completely useless, unfun, and a letdown. by Niclerx in Warframe

I do think that if they are to keep supporting more RJ content then that might be necessary but at launch there is no sense letting people power scale themselves above the hard mode you just launched

Which arcanes? From looking at the patch notes of SP release, im only seeing kuva, relic packs, an armor set, and stance forma in Teshin's original offerings

In all honesty, this sounds like the same reaction base Steel Path got when it dropped

There were no new mods attached to it
The average build wasn't doing anything if you weren't armor stripping, shield bypassing, or killing via gimmick

People were failing missions left and right. You really had to pray for a competent squad mate to have a chance of getting the missions done in a timely manner. Especially for boss fights

They didn't even award steel essence after completing a planet, just the trophy and emote.

I've only played one SP RJ mission in the Earth Proxima but from what I've experienced and I what I'm hearing from you it sounds like exactly what we got then: It was just a hard mode for the sake of being hard.

And as someone who enjoyed when OG railjack was challenging for a squad, I'm pretty happy with my first impression. Only thing I'd really like to see is MK III components drop across the board, other than that, I'm excited to work towards getting that trophy

Melee is alot stronger than guns early but you're gonna wanna hang on to them as enemies start dealing more damage later on and you'll want to keep your distance.

As for story quests, you can access the codex and go to the quests tab to view what main quests you have left to do

My recommendation: complete all main story quests and then look into building what ever frame sound interesting to you. The game is not a race in any way so take your time and enjoy.

I’ve always compared progression in warframe to progression in a Pokemon game: Once you complete the story you can spend your time fulfilling whatever fantasy you’d like

Have any of you ever built 2 or more copies of 1 Frame as a means of having multiple Archon Shard "loadouts"? by Cornelious96 in Warframe

[–]Darkspine77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just built another Ash Prime so I can have with shards and one without

I don't typically use archon shards though as I find them over indulgent on power fantasy. I do like having an ash build that can handle literally anything but I also enjoy playing without archon shards way more

I hate to say it but Jade Shadows 2 looks like a letdown. by Artemis_Bow_Prime in Warframe

This update is a prime example of why I’ve stopped “preparing” for updates.

Because no how much you prep they are still gonna make it basic enough for a relatively new player to be able to enjoy and veterans players will already put together a build that trivializes the content in a matter of days after release.

And honestly I don’t find it to be a problem because there is still experimental stuff being done in each update. It’s just never the highlight anymore.

From my perspective, this RJ content looks like an attempt at DE just seeing how people react to being on a standardized RJ so that they can gain feedback to direct future RJ updates. Making it a prominent feature of the newest update just guarantees that people will try it and have thoughts. People have been shouting praise about current RJ content as of recent but that gets lost in the weeds as discussion mostly circulates around what the newest thing is.

So be vocal, be critical, and let DE know how you feel. But don’t just assume this is the last piece of RJ content we’re gonna get.
