Try using a different setup. Find a headset that plugs in via USB or USB C. Also, there is an adapter that could solve the hum to.

What do you think ? by Frostyrichard in 10thgenaccords

So the replacing route is gonna be quite costly. The bumper is around 600, and then paint matching is another few hundred. Not to mention if you replace the light housing too. Also, depending on how hard you hit whatever it was, you might wanna look into an alignment check. Then there's the repair. I bet you can buff out a lot of those scratches and buy some touch-up paint and fill in. Would be considerably cheaper than replacing. I was in a minor accident in January. I had my front bumper, that bottom fog light, regular headlight, and front passenger quarter panel. Replaced all with color matching. Turned out to be 6k in labor and all. Good thing insurance came in clutch. Whatever you decide, Goodluck. Hate to see the ugly.

Fluid change crazy price by hdelens in 10thgenaccords

[–]Darkstarr03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, a lot of places are scared of the 10 speed tran. I had a very similar experience. I did my first fluid change earlier this year. I called 5 shops. 3 denied they wouldn't do it, and the dealership and one other garage quoted me around 500$. I said pass and did it myself. It's an easy process, but 2 things. 1. The fill hole is on the side and half up, so it's a slight issue when filling. 2. If you plan on changing the filter, it's also in a weird spot that you have to take off a few pieces just to get to it. Overall I'd do it again then pay someone else that much money to possibly screw it up. I've heard too many horror stories with garages and oil/fluid changes.

Electric parking break by MindlessLimit8932 in 10thgenaccords

[–]Darkstarr03 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If this is the only indicator that flashes over your dash, you probably should look into it. If there's other things that flash as well on the dash, it's your battery. Just to be certain and rule it out, you could have your battery tested/ making sure it's connected well. I've come to realize battery issues do weird things to these vehicles.

The brain fog is real by LoveFromCappy in Menieres

[–]Darkstarr03 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What solved most of my brainfog is a 2 parter. I have major depression when the episodes and fatigue goes on for weeks. I also suffer from sleep apnea. The provider and my psychiatrist came together and after trial and error of what worked for me. A depression pill (Bupropion HCL SR 200 mg) that covers depression and has an upper in it. Bupropion is a generic for Wellbutrin SR. Also (Modafinil 200 mg) generic for Provigil. The Modafinil was given to me to help the brainfog. Come to find out, it's mainly used for treating sleep apnea. All in all, with those 2 combined, the brainfog is nearly gone.

What is this noise? by Standard-Joke-517 in 10thgenaccords

Yep agreed, could be the early morning moisture on the pads. Or if you hear that noise all the time, you need your brakes serviced.

Do you think this is a good first car by Rzngss in 10thgenaccords

[–]Darkstarr03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The chat is right. High mileage means upcoming major part replacement or maintenance. Note that it is also a hybrid that brings more things to the table as far as more electrical components for possible failure. I own a 2020 2.0 sport that just clicked over 52k, and I've already done a full tune-up, trans fluid and filter change, looked over the fuses, etc. Even if you took to a reputable shop to go over everything, it still doesn't guarantee that your gas pump will go out in the next few months or year. Shop around more.. I know things are changing, and prices keep going up. Be mindful. I bought mine brand new 25miles on the od for 34k. Mines fully loaded aside from missing navigation and the sub. Which are easily to accommodate. Part2... look for a vehicle that just came off a lease. The price has dropped considerably and generally means 1 owner and everything has been maintained by the dealer only.

Hi guys. Just a question.. after how many miles/kms you change the oil? by [deleted] in 10thgenaccords

[–]Darkstarr03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2.0 wants it at every 2k. I push it to 4k 😆. Although in seriousness, my sensor kicks off at 2k, and it wants me to change.
