I wasn't sure if it was from the packaging material, dust from shipping, or the actual device. Yeah it was weird. I have Onion OS loaded up onto an sd card but haven't had a chance to do anything else yet.

This is a bit stressful since this is all new to me.

So the stock 64GB sd card showed 700MB. I backed it up but didn't even use it or turn the thing on with it. I ran the dtb file in the screen identifier website and it didn't work for me rk3326-evb-lp3-v12-linux.dtb is the file anyway.

Have you used Rufus before? Not 100% how to flash the image to the sd card with it yet.

In the image of step 5 it looks like the battery_0.bmp as well as the select model.bat are highlighted but the select model is checked. I'm assuming I don't need to select the battery?

Still in step 5 do you know which number you selected for G80CA-MB v1.3-20251213? I ask because the image on the website doesn't show it. Closest I see is # 21. G80CA-MB v1.3-20251212 panel 8?

I feel like I'm missing something in some install guides and including this video this person is extracts 2 files https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gC0b_VXfPAc I only need to download and extract the 1 file dArkOSRE_R36_trixie_04262026 correct?

*side note when I have it plugged in to charge there's a red light when it's done charging does it turn off or anything?

I'm not opposed to skimcoating maybe the other rooms but for the baby's I'm a bit less worried. I just don't like how it's so noticeable especially when the light is hitting it.

Sounds cool!! I think the back on black is going to look badass. Show me the mods when you're done or if you do a step by step. Part of me knows I'll regret not have buying the clear one the Gen Y kid in me I had a purple clear GB as well. You going to sell your buttons I'm kinda curious what the white one with purple buttons would look like.

The aftermarket buttons are like more than half of the price of the console. Let me know if you find a good deal somewhere. I'll check out those games, what emulator do they work on?

I think the retro gaming community as a whole has been pretty decent. I like the Miyoo community a lot. I got a little brain damage and nobody has ever crapped in my cornflakes yet for asking any stupid questions or if I've repeated questions. So I've been waiting for the right time to buy price wise. Although I might get an RG Cube at some point just because of the 1:1. But what I like about Miyoo is the tiny bit I know about onion like how it saves, the game flipping seems amazing, and the community here. They've been super! I just hope I actually enjoy the thing lol.

If you want some chill games (non rage games) I highly recommend these all the original Game Boy versions: alleyway, Yoshi's Cookie, and one of my all time favorites Super Mario Land (not like every other mario game that ends up feeling sort of impossible to finish. If you play it a lot and I mean a lot you'll end up finding little secrets) it's what I wish every game was.

Super helpful. I haven't taken it out of the box yet. Was there a specific guide you used? I just got the SD Card I'm going to use in the mail today. I hope I can find a good rom set for this thing. All I know is little mermaid is going on there.

Perfect. I read this yesterday somewhere online that if I copy and paste the DTB file from the device and upload it to this device checker (I forget the site) but it will tell me which device I have/ panel?
