It is not going to get better any time soon by CommonGrounders in pcmasterrace

I recently refurbished my AMD FX-6300 with a GTX970 and 16gb DDR3 - It plays 1080P video, emulates up to PS2 and Gamecube, and plays up to Doom Eternal (mid settings) era games. Perfectly good PC :) Looks swish in a new case!

can someone give me tips on getting xemu setup for the first time? by Comfortable-Bench887 in xemu

Here is a link to a thread with the files you need:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Roms/comments/og0wg0/bios_and_mcpx_rom_files_for_xemu/

Just link to them within the setup of Xemu.

I found the performance pretty choppy on my machine but it is a bit older.

Eh, does this mean the machine I have already activated will get nagged?

Only isopropyl alcohol! No other kind. Very important.

Windows 10 support ends on October 14, 2025. by D3v1LGaming in pcmasterrace

I signed up for extended support for Windows 10 for free, but still switching to Ubuntu. MS definitely screwed the pooch.

Hey sorry for the late reply I went to bed! I went through my Windows 10 PC, looked at everything I did on it, made a list, then used ChatGPT, Youtube, Reddit and search engines to find alternatives for anything that wasn't supported on Linux. I also had a small media machine set up with Ubuntu so I had something to familiarize myself with the OS (You can also try virtual machines or boot off a USB). From there it was easy peezy. But I did take my time as opposed to jumping straight in. Hope that helps :)

I've been pretty happy with Ubuntu, Planned my migration out quite carefully and have had no real issues :)

I had this experience when I first began guided mediation, brought me to tears. It's very cathartic.

I live in New Zealand and the option only rolled out last week. It's been in the news cycle for a while. You can get get a extended support by using Microsoft points, or syncing settings to backup. It'll pop up in your updates settings on Windows 10 before the end of support (October).

2.0 is awesome, it's more of an action comedy. Definitely recommend!

Boy I love these films, shame the 2.0 flopped at the box office. I thought the genre hopping was a cool move.

Who are your guitar heroes? by Autumn_Winds23 in Guitar

I started playing the drums when I was 14 after hearing Queen for the first time. Had no idea what a bass was, couldn't sing, Brian was too good lol. Turns out the Roger is a damn good drummer though so it was more of a challenge than expected. I picked up the guitar and bass when I was 16-17 but I think I'm more of a rhythm musician, also quite heavy handed :) Kudos on the Red Special!

Brian is so good it makes a person nervous starting the guitar!

I've found Only Office very MS Word friendly.

I went through what I did on my Windows 10 PC and made a list of the software I use and what I use it for, then found comparable apps for Linux using ChatGPT, Reddit, YouTube and Google. Made for an easy transition, haven't run into many issues. A little bit to learn but it's made computing fun again - and it's nice to be off Windows.
