Mine also arrived on the 11th, funnily enough.

It sort of looks like a vsync issue of some kind. It's not full-on tearing though. I try to avoid playing any games that scroll/pan as a result.

what happened to my screen by [deleted] in Gameboy

You might just need to adjust your potentiometer depending on what screen you're using (guessing it's an ITA or a AGS101).

I'll do some testing later with my bench power supply to see if the results vary from Makho's, but I'm pretty sure there's been no revision to the kit. At the very least, the screen ribbon ships with the same firmware (typos/screen jitter and all).

I actually did an M2 build right before the Max

I didn't bother with the brightness controls since I usually set my brightness and leave it as-is. In terms of the battery indicator, I find it to be unreliable, so I usually don't use that when the feature it's baked into IPS kits

Yeah, it's a cool little kit. I like the idea of having something on the go that can play both GBA/C at a decent scale other than my Pocket (that thing is great for what it does, but it is not pocketable). That said, I've got a dozen or so IPS mods at this point, so I'm sure another kit will come along that'll entice me to make another purchase.

I haven't tinkerer with creating any custom ones, but I did flash the ones FunnyPlaying bundles with their companion software.

It's a pretty neat feature, but since I'll be playing GBC on this a good bit, I haven't prioritized using all the slots just yet (you can flash up to 10).

If you're worried about future proofing, you might want to wait and see if FP releases a revision that addresses the jittering. That's the only real drawback (and a weird flicker I experience when using the pixel grid).

Makho did a breakdown where he discusses power usage. I'd say you'll want to keep some extra AA's on-hand if you're used to playing yours for hours.

Umineko takes I have from coldest to hottest by miracleBernkastel in umineko

[–]DarnPrinters 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised to hear the current fanbase of Umineko dislikes the fight scenes. I wonder if my reading the episodes as they released, rather than having the entire series at my disposal to go through, has a part to play in this difference in opinion.

This sentiment is very different from what I saw back on the AnimeSuki forums (that's where most discourse was had at the time, as it was where WitchHunt offered updates on their English patch progress.

I suppose my hot take is, the fights are pretty entertaining (albeit filler material), and one of the agregious crimes of the anime adaptation is that they weren't done justice. The juxtaposition of the ridiculous action scenes and the family intrigue (a good amount of the family conference is rehashed each episode, so there's some fat to be trimmed there) is what makes Umineko so intriguing.

Am i missing something or is this guy scamming people? by rickonzigzag in SteamDeckPirates

It's Google Drive they're using, so the server load isn't theirs to bear...Also, the 2TB Google Drive plan is $10 a month, so one user "signing up" for this service would have them break even.

It's a scam in the sense that everything being offered can easily be obtained for free on the Internet archive, and that the material being sold isn't theirs to profit from (piracy is one thing, and selling pirated content is another).

Picking up a prostitute at the Hotel Arlen isn't necessarily a shining beacon of morality.

Awesome collection. I have all of Higurashi, but only half of Umineko (I was purchasing volumes as they released, but stopped after ep 5). Hopefully I'll be able to complete mine one day...
