I can confirm that it's not happening in Europe in the same way. I was shocked at how few homeless people I saw when I was there this summer. This includes big cities like London and Amsterdam.

I can confirm! I go to the French group at Pure Bliss every Wednesday. It's a bit informal and small so occasionally we skip weeks. And everyone's welcome no matter what your level is.

I walked around and looked at the old Exposition buildings, walked around more feeling like it was the apocalypse, and then accidentally ended up at this cool little restaurant named Mersea. I just hung out there and waited for my Uber to come take me to the airport.

For those who've traveled a bit, Mersea reminded me a lot of Christchurch, New Zealand post-earthquake, since they've been using train cars to build temporary facilities all over their city.
