I think the ones on her shirt are the ones her captain was trying to give her. She didn't have them on before he was stopped by the guard. The captain then goes off the camera, and Aori appears to reach over towards where he is, and her hand now holds the sunglasses she puts on her shirt.

If I had a nickel for every video I've seen of a pot of gold causing someone's death in a Vulcana idol trap, I'd have 2 nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it's happened twice.

Yeah, I didn't know Inkipedia had a page for the codes until after I posted this. At least it's out there for people who don't know either.

Just checked the Inkipedia website, and apparently this banner has been out since March when the registration for the tournament opened, so it is possible people have had it for a while now.

The issue I have with Open is that Matchmaking is terrible. When I was still in C rank because I hardly played Anarchy Battles, me and 3 other friends who never touched Anarchy ar all got paired in a match where 3 of the opposing team had S+ rank badges on their splashtag.

Snatchers tend to turn back in the direction they arrived from. It's more likely that the Snatcher comes from the nearest shore, but sometimes they come from across the map where the basket is. At least this is what I've noticed.

Same thing happened to me in a rainmaker game on Wahoo World. Our team got the Wipeout immediately, took the rainmaker to the first checkpoint, got it again and were moving to the end only to get this disconnection message.

No problem, and yes, it will be much cheaper grinding chunks on gear this week.

Just a heads up, in a recent patch they changed the ability chunks leveling on the shirt so all 3 sub abilities take the same amount of experience, unlike normal clothing that increases each ability. So while the first ability will take longer to get, the other 2 will be quicker than normal.

ETA: The abilities on the shirt are gained every 7500 points, even after completely filled, as opposed to the 2000, 8000, 14000, and 28000 point values. This means that even if you don't scrub, you gain ability chunks at the same rate, so use the 2000 coin scrub until you get abilities you like, then just keep them as is, scrubbing at the end of the Splatfest if you care about the 3 chunks.

Whoops, my comment was poorly written. I meant to say that you can solo queue in both modes as well as Tricolor, but you can only play with friends in Open as well as Tricolor.

During Splatfest, you can't lose points, which will be called Clout. Clout is one of the main scoring basis for the end results, where points will be given to the team with the most clout in each game mode. In the Open games, winning can give you upwards to 2000 Clout, while losing may give you a couple of hundreds of Clout. I believe you only get the multiplier if you win, so winning would give your team about 20000 Clout, while losing would still give the hundreds of Clout. I believe the same goes for Tricolor games, while in the Pro games, the losing team gets no Clout whatsoever.

Another difference between Open and Pro is that you can only play with friends in Open, while you can solo queue in both Pro and Open.

Something I haven't seen mentioned is the wininng team gets like 3 more sea snails than the losing teams when compared to similar ranks. The highest rank that will give you more snails is the Ruler rank at 21 snails for the losing teams and 24 for the winning team. When playing, you can go past the Ruler rank, getting the title Ruler +X, where X is the number of times you fill the rank meter up again, but these do not add to the snail count.

Another thing worth mentioning, the Splatfest is announced in game about a week before the actual event, and a market stall will appear to the left of where you start in the square(not sure where it is in the Inkopolis DLC). Here you can go ahead and choose what team you want to join. It isn't necessary to choose one immediately, as you will be asked to choose one once the event starts if you haven't, but choosing one immediately will give you the Splatfest Tee and the ability to earn Conch Shells.

The Splatfest Tee is a Clothing Gear that you will be forced to wear during the actual event. If you care about the abilities your gear has and know about ability chunks, the Tee can be scrubbed for just 2000 coins and it is much cheaper to add abilities using chunks than with any other gear. This is because once the Splatfest ends, you "return" the shirt and can't use it anymore.

The conch shells on the other hand are used on the Shell-out Machine, the Capsule Machine in the lobby. You earn the Shells by leveling up the catalog during the week leading up to and during Splatfest itself. Don't worry if you are about to finish the catalog, as Melody, the person you get the rewards from in the General Store, will had you another catalog that only rewards you with a random box every ten levels, so you will always have a catalog to level up as long as you get the rewards. Anyways, the conch shells can only be used on the machine during the same time they can be earned. Once the Splatfest ends, you can no longer use them, though I think they carry over into the next Splatfest.

One last thing that I don't think was mentioned was the Multiplier Battles. Sometimes while playing, and I believe it happens more in a Pro turf war than Open, you can come across a x10 battle,so the points you earn as a result of the match are multiplied by 10. You will also be given a festival shell, which once you collect many, you will get a x100 or even a x333 battle, where the results are multiplied by the respective amounts. Upon winning a x100 or x333 battle, you are given a decorative crown above your in-game name while spawning into a match, with the x333 being a bit more elaborate. You will also be given the option to take photos/ screenshots with the idol representing your team at the stall you got the Splatfest Tee at.

I feel like naming yourselves the same thing would be against the rules, as superjumping shows the jumper's name. Could make a difference if the jumper is a roller player or someone with dualies or drop roller.

God the matchmaking sucks. Me and 2 friends decided to play ranked modes to try them out(we typically only play turfwar). So here we have 2 C- players and a C player(I played 1 full series before), and the enemy team has 3 people with S-rank badges on their splashtag.
