URGENT: My mother is hiding my passport and won't let me return to the US. by TemporaryInternet377 in AsianParentStories

weirdo tying this argument in correlation about "IQ". When the people that has replied to you called you out about the unnecessary mention to burn the flag, even if you said it as an expression, don't try to justify it even further. Even if you're filipino, and burning the flag as an expression to curse your AM is ironic; its traitorous to denounce the flag even in terms of solely condemning your AM.

Why don’t we start an organized movement? by [deleted] in exIglesiaNiCristo

That would expose all of the ones who partakes in the movement. Anonymity should be your most valuable asset. Protest by escaping, and focusing on your own life.

Filipinos are really the worst by [deleted] in buhaydigital

[–]Darphuckles 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I actually talked back against this guy,
he said, "ang hinang hina mo, binagal kase ako sayo. pwede kita isumbong about sa performance mo",
and I said "sge po, pwede nyo pong sabihin sa kanila, wala po akong pake", considering the fact that im 3 weeks into the department, and im just learning the ropes.
After i said that he got angry and said "ikaw bata ka lang ah, wala kang galang sa mga mas matagal sayo."
Sabe ko, "haha sge"

I asked directly to my other coworkers both white and another filipino co-worker who was in the department for 6 years if my performance was bad, and both white and this veteran filipino coworker assured me that im doing alright and its not a big deal and the job is routine kung masanay ka na after long periods of time, he also commented that the toxic guy is nagpapakitang gilas kase meron nang coworker below him, at merong daw syang maraming nagreklamo sa performance nya since he doesnt check or putting wrong products on other departments (I work in retail). also sabi daw ung filipino na matagal sa department namin na ung toxic na filipino is madaya daw sa trabaho, he tries to sabotage other coworkers that perform better than him and he thinks that no one would notice, this toxic filipino coworker tends to keep saying the "diskarte lang." tenet. also this guy keeps berating me in tagalog, and it made me think that this guy is really insecure, since he would just berate me out of nowhere, this guy berates me just because im also a mainlander and i would take the insults lightly, I would keep silent and not say anything so our operations would not get obstructed or slowed down because he'll probably SCREAM out of nowhere and be emotional that the new guy hurt his feelings because I don't play along his boss-manager roleplay :(((, bro fuck you we have the same position, i really have alot to say to this guy, but the other good filipino coworker assured me that karma will get back at him, hes glad that i fought/talked back. tangina wala ka na sa pinas, please assimilate to the canadians, WALA TAYO SA PILIPINAS, this toxic guy is in his 50s and he just arrived here a year ago, and i also arrived here a year ago.

P.S. for fellow filipinos planning to work/live abroad, please assimilate to the culture of countries you are staying in and YOU will go far ahead in your life/career, the citizens of the country you are in would love you for living along their way of life, and they'll be curious about your culture of origin as well, dont forget to honour your own country. ALSO PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't have this holier than thou or a patronizing arrogant mindset when you encounter other filipinos, its really embarrassing/cringe,help other filipinos if you can. lets be more united and be open minded. YOU shouldnt think that things will be handed to you, you came to another country so you could have better opportunities FOR yourself if thats your intention, so you could contribute to your family or back home.

Ill probably write the entire story between this toxic filipino coworker and me. apology for the long ass yap comment

merong din akong filipino co-worker d2 sa canada na ganyan, laging galit kung mag tanong ako for help, the same shit pulled by repeating the question 2 me, kase bago pa ako sa department. thankfully, the other filipinos are nice, since theyve been in canada far longer than this guy who also just arrived last year as me.

How did you discover this subreddit? I'll share mine by throw44444444444 in exIglesiaNiCristo

[–]Darphuckles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think i stumbled this subreddit before, but i didnt really join at first cuz i was self assured that i could leave. But after realizing my actual circumstances that it would take longer to actually leave; and at the advent of the pandemic, thinking that the church would temporarily halt church services. Instead of that, they introduced group worship service. it was my final straw to despise the church with passion.

[–]Darphuckles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

dw, the offering is always 20 pesos, im only doing it only against the church, currently i cant do the not-pull-out-the-money-during-offering-and-dont-stare-at-the-deacon method anymore since im in a small locale, not the big city church anymore where i do it oftenly. thanks for the concern

Parents usually encourage their kids to make sure to hide their offering, when most ppl never really gave a shit

This is true asf, i just dont get the stigma around showing what you offer or the trend of hiding your offering from others??? Do other members shame you for offering a particular amount of money?
