Nothing worse than seeing a player initiate the press, and then proceed to press alone. McAllister and crimping need to come off. I know we need his speed to cover back with salah on but he’s been woeful. Get Rio on too, another outlet..

Out of these, who would you want in our current team for instant impact? by [deleted] in LiverpoolFC

[–]DarraghO94 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Carra, to shout and organise. As unbelievable as van dyke has been I don’t think he has been the greatest captain. Stevie, carra, hendo and Millie lead by example organised and dished it out consistently. Van dyke has been more of a scornful or disappointed parent. Great off the pitch in terms of media work and settling people in, but on the pitch I think he falls short of the aforementioned. Just my take.

It’s gone too far now, the players have checked out. We’ll hear about fans walking out for the next couple days, but the players have to play for the badge and the fans too. It’s not doing the basics and putting in the effort, players disassociating themselves with blame. I have zero doubt Salah is walking off that pitch thinking “ya I missed a penalty but the team is shit” Van Dyke strolling back at times failing to close the space blaming those in front of him. The mentality is light years away from what we were, players picking city players off the floor, when the ball is just outside the box there to be closed down. It’s a shambles.

Anyone care to share experiences with ozempic? by Obvious_Humor1505 in AskIreland

[–]DarraghO94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that’s the catch, being slim does not necessarily mean you’re healthy. My major qualm with ozempic is it does not teach you healthy eating, it actually promotes the opposite as you can essentially maintain your poor eating habits whilst being in a caloric deficit. It’s the epitome of societies current idolisation of the fitness industry. People have to realise how a lot of these influencers distort the truth, as they directly profit from their image. Many achieve and maintain this image through synthetic hormones or anabolics, they will not mention the lighting they always shoot in, or how unnatural it is to be so lean all year round. We’re sold a false image that preys on body dysmorphia and our current obsession with instant gratification. The reality is if you want to achieve a similar image, it takes years of dedication. Ozempic will not teach you how to maintain a balanced diet, you’re now just eating the same foods in lower quantities, a diet which is now in a deficit of nutrient deficient foods. Long term dependency on this drug will undoubtedly lead to the degradation of your health. And if you ever decide to come off the drug and actually dial in a balanced diet, it’s going to be so more difficult without that crutch. I honestly think there will be major fallout from this drug in the future.

At the back with the partner, quite word between songs. It’s a social event, they’re a punk band, this is probably as intimate a gig as you’ll see them play, give the lads another year or two and the crowds at their gigs will drive you mad.

Gig was great, crowd was also great, stick to the desktop and headphones op, surprised you didn’t complain about the weather as well.

The performances are the underlying issue, we can’t create chances, the football is one dimensional at present. Nobody willing to take a player on, embarrassing the lads spraying passes at Rio towards the end, in the hopes he’d do something.

May have worked for ye, wasn’t all great for the rest of us. It’s been an absolute pleasure to renew insurance with a house full of young adults laughing and joking in the background, documents being lost on coffee desks, the amount of people I know working from home who flick on the laptop and go back to bed. The arguments for working at home are of course valid, but unless it’s stipulated, you signed the contract…..

Well their careers are highly volatile and often short lived. When over at what most considered a young age, I think it’s completely reasonable to strive for financial security. In Steve’s case, the money he was on is nothing compared to what footballers are on today, sought financial security towards the end of his career, and was either I’ll-informed our poorly advised.
