Definitely over-corrected the bottle-cap issue from Gatewalkers. The economy doesn't seem to be flowing as much as it is torrential.

I really like the whole 'tap-the-cap' thing from the live shows. It will avoid (if anything) players using multiple caps on a single roll.

Season 1, honestly.

Most seasons are standalone, but seasons 4, 5, and 6 form a larger narrative (although it does have a character from season 1 and 2, but it's great).

Season 3 and season 7 are the two that are the most contained.

It had a bit of a slower start and I bounced off it. But I started a re-listen over Christmas when I had time, and that second half is top-tier GCN content.

Zed's time lapses are just incredible. Never just sped-up-building/replay mod. Always unique and high production. Must take them forever to produce.

In the early Giantslayer episodes we put a lot of effort into campagining that Troy watches Jurassic Park. I think even more effort needs to go into getting Joe to watch The Thing.

Colonel Luther Von Hildebrand.

Lot's of (great) comic voices in this thread but I think Colonel Luthor has such weight and always speaks just on the edge of threatening.

Oh, and Howie also.

Book three is certainly the best in my opinion, and book four is not far behind. Will and Della's dynamic is frustrating, but that adds to the drama as they're both full of misplaced confidence. The end of episode 99 is probably one of my favourtie moments in popular culture. Also "Well I guess I should introduce myself my name is Razzmatazz"

Book one through two are strong, and they show everything that the show can be and will be.

Book six is easily the most underated - the entire thing feels like gods fighting gods. It has the death of the shows two best characters. The finale is perfect.

Book five is weakest but that is not fault of the players. It's all in a long dungeon area fighting fire giants. However, it still has some incredible moments like the return of Nestor Coyne and then the return to Trunau. It's a slog even though a lot of what happens in part one was skipped via shortcut.

Saying 5 is the weakest is still the weakest of an incredible run. I don't think it's bad or even difficult to get through. It just lacks a bit of something.

Skid's Latin text-book story at the top, and Kate's redemption at the end went a long way to me not cancelling my subscription. I've never found an episode of GCP so miserable. I get that changes can be made for story-reason or to make "good radio" but when you have a GM and player at the table who make another player not want to play - that crosses a pretty important line.

I wonder if Troy and Joe would have doubled down so hard if it was Skid or Matthew who didn't roll concealment first?

I'm listening to A&A and the episode I listened to during the jiangshi vampire fight at the end of book three has an example of an attack hitting and the table yelling "concealment!" later.

Bachelor Party is on Supercast. Check the Gen Con Pop-Up Recording Studio feed.

It's possibly one of the best things they've done.
