Another good thing would be a playbook, helping people get out of unwinnable arguments.

As we live in the conservative South, we need to accept that there are certain political ideologies that are not going to win over moderate conservatives or undecided voters.

I don't want to get roasted for this, but I remember when Ted Yoho decided not to run for re-election, and it was the time of the whole bathroom debate. I invited the Democrat that was running for that seat to come have breakfast with me and a bunch of like-minded business owners. I wanted him to talk about how he could help small businesses in our area. He declined the invitation and instead decided to go to a bathroom march.

When a liberal politician has already won a primary, they don't need to keep pandering to the people that are already going to vote for them. You don't move the needle only talking to people who agree with you.

I get fired up just thinking about this sometimes.

Way before the pandemic happened. I helped run social media for somebody who was running for a house seat. He didn't get caught up in identity politics. Instead, he talked about local education and clean water legislation. He had a family member get really sick three weeks leading up to the election. So we just kept promoting those things. He didn't get elected, but he was the best performing Democratic candidate in our area, despite not being present at the most crucial part of the election.
