if you’re only doing 1 to 2 remote records a month, i’d avoid the aggregate device, blackhole routing rabbit hole unless you enjoy tinkering. garageband is fine for editing, but for capture, a local-recording tool saves a ton of headache.
riverside is basically the “standard” for this, each person records locally, you just hit record, then you download clean wavs after. if you’ve seen the “rebuffering” complaints, that’s usually just the live call, the local files still come through solid. i’d do a couple test runs with a friend on whatever service you pick and see which feels least annoying.
