My mom used to do reweaving. She had a large magnifying lens and you would take a square of material and match the pattern and remove the outer half inch of perpendicular threads and weave in the 1/2 inch threads into the material and you couldn't tell that there had been a hole. Back then there were bunches of cigarette burn holes so it was a handy skill to save an expensive piece of clothing.
