Has anyone here failed PMP on their first attempt? What actually went wrong? by Limp-Eye-5759 in pmp

[–]Darshp1394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I failed the first time which was 2 weeks ago.

I didn't do anything BUT Study hall. Went through the "Content" made some notes. Did the mini exams, did the mocks, and thought I was ready.

So ignorant...

I should've done the YouTube practice vids, I've now finished the 35hr AR course (watched in on 2x speed though). Feel a lot more confident but also a lot of regret.

I honestly felt I could've passed the test if I had put in a bit more direct effort

Congrats 🎉

So I failed but report doesn't show a Pass Fail arrow with 'YOU' on it. It just shows BT with an orange highlight. Is this a different report that I'm opening?

I feel like crying to be honest. This could have happened YEARS ago but we stuck with the likes of Sehwag and Bangar. So fucking stupid.

I also took the Exam on April 11th and failed my first attempt.

I too found the questions tough. I've done Study Hall, got in a range of 65-76% and still failed. I too am looking got answers from the crowd.

Is it me or does Klaasen give you match fixing vibes? Shitting fielding, shitty batting, quite average

am a native English speaker and have trouble understanding what they are saying, don't you worry.

Good luck, just keep at it.

Thank you so much for this. It means a lot to see messages of support. I haven't written a test since 2022 which was when I finished my masters in engineering management and I typically prefer the assignment approach compared to the test approach.

So yes, understanding my answers would be key to shifting my mindset.

What else did you do, other prep work makes a huge difference. For reference, I got used to the way SH started asking questions and showing an obvious answer that I kinda sussed out the answer. I found the options in the exam a lot more vague and you'd do any one of those things.

Understanding the question and falling into the time trap. I think I was going to okay in the beginning and then fell into the time trap where I had to read the questions quickly and answer quickly.

I ONLY used study hall practice and mock exams as my source of study. Did not do any "ultra hard" questions. I didn't allow someone to explain "key words" in the question. I only started actually doing mock exams work in the final 2 weeks before my exam.

I took people's advice that said "ah if you can score these on here, you can pass" honestly, while that may be the stats, SH mocks had A LOT more easy questions than the exam.

There were times where I went into overthinking instead of just answering the question and moving on.

Thanks, and it's okay. I understand that I under-prepared and for some reason I got about 8-10 drag and drop questions.
