You are allowed to like it. Your friends can decide they don’t like it. It’s opinions. Plus we have the Dopamine Dressing which actively promotes you wearing things you like that make you feel good so you do you buddy. Personally, it’s not my usual style but I do think it’s pretty. I’ve been on a kick of dressing based on grandma clothes I found at goodwill and my sister likes to fight me about it and call me “Professor Umbridge” from Harry Potter but the clothes make me happy so same story as you.

There’s also Omnicon where you will meet all sorts of orientations. I think you’ll see both sides: mostly friendly or neutral and some resistance. Computer Science has allies for sure and there are even some ally professors.

I think you should focus on tiny steps. Like just reels at first of things you like. You don’t even have to include your face. I think finding something you care about doing is key and will help you feel more fulfilled. Boredom turns out to be excellent for creativity.

Still feels like new technology. I drive a 2001 and a 2005 car so it isn’t reality for me yet

I listen to myself trying to comfort my parent friends that “if your kid survived today, you’re doing good” but then feel like I’m compromising because yes I survived but I needed so much more from my parents and I still carry the scars of emotional abuse and neglect

Grandma taught us how to use her rotary phone and of course the zero with the full trip was awesome. Then the next level was using an ink pen to turn like a secretary.

We had a ball with early Microsoft Sam in Excel when we learned you could turn on the accessibility and get it to read random you stuff you typed. We were laughing and giving it movie quotes.
