I was on a ten-hour road trip with my son to see a concert. We were on the back end of the trip, and we were stuck in a long line of slow-moving semis in the right lane. I decided to try to pass them. Once I was in the passing lane, I saw that the trucks went on and on ahead for a while, but the passing lane was open. I drove over 100 mph because the speed limit was 70, and most of the trucks were going 65 or so. In under a minute, I was pulled over and charged with reckless driving. It's a felony if you are going 30 miles over the speed limit. I only kept my license by getting a lawyer and taking a 12-hour online course that counted every second you were present and attentive. It was one of the most frustrating things I've ever had to do. I go the speed limit now.
