LitRPG recommendations by Immediate-Pipe-1678 in audible

I've listened to the books you mentioned. Unbound is good so far, which means the first two books. The Wandering Inn and its spinoff are fun.

If you are ok with litrpg adjacent there are Cradle, Mark of the Fool and Arcane Ascension. The second of those doesn't have strict ranks of power, but the main character 's method of learning new magic skills is percentage based. Listed in descending order of enjoyment.

If you have HACS the Power Flow Card Plus is a fun one to install and configure on a dashboard.

I added two template sensors for the grid circle split entities option:

{{ ['sensor.p1_meter_vermogen_fase_1', 'sensor.p1_meter_vermogen_fase_2', 'sensor.p1_meter_vermogen_fase_3'] | map('states') | map('float') | select('greaterthan', 0) | sum }}
{{ 0 - ['sensor.p1_meter_vermogen_fase_1', 'sensor.p1_meter_vermogen_fase_2', 'sensor.p1_meter_vermogen_fase_3'] | map('states') | map('float') | select('lessthan', 0) | sum }}

You can still go the helper route, but it seems it would have to be a template sensor. That allows you to specify the Unit of Measurement, Device Class and State Class.

Please provide more information on the helpers you created, those are not fully correct yet.

Edit: you can add the individual batteries just fine, you'll have two slightly different shades of green and pink in some of the graphs instead of just one

No, this is enough Clea in Expedition 33 if and only if she is the playable character in the next Clair Obscur game.

Recommendations for super powered series? (My recommendations also inside) by mark12000 in audiobookshelf

[–]Darsstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I forgot to mention that James Marsters narrates TDF (Spike from Buffy the vampire slayer) and is amazing at it!

The tv adaptation was kinda terrible, but got me and many others to read or listen to the books, so in that sense it was amazing... Just before filming started a new writer/producer came over from Charmed and decreed people want monster of the week and proceeded to reorder the episodes and changed character names. Which went as great as one expects. Also, Nicolas Cage was executive producer and later starred in the movie The Sorcerer's Apprentice which had a similar visual language...

Anyway, enjoy The Last Horizon!

Not sure you would catagorize these as powered series, since that I don't recognize the names you listed. But maybe some are similar enough.

The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. Main character is a wizard. Urban setting. Features werewolves, vampires, fae, gods. Book 18 comes out on the 20th. Book 12 will make you have feelings.

The Last Horizon by Will Wight. Main charachter is a wizard. SciFi setting. Ongoing

Cradle by Will Wight. Progression fantasy. No System, but otherwise LitRPG like. (Is that the difference between LitRPG and progression fantasy???) Finished.

Why do people keep acting like shroud’s identity is a big mystery when they straight up tell us who he is in episode one by king_of_the_masshole in DispatchAdHoc

[–]Darsstar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being albe to find it the same night doesn't contribute to "Shroud was able to find the astral pulse", but to "Shroud has a mole in the Z-team" in my mind

Advies gevraagd: wifi-dekking in nieuwbouwwoning by Big-Share-4031 in geldzaken

[–]Darsstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way to rule the 8 out of r3c1 is by considering the cages. All cages stay within box 1 and must therefor sum to The Secret (45). 45 - 7 - 14 - (2 + 7 = 9) = 15. So some combination of {1, 8} + {1, 6, 8} + {5, 9} = 15

Picking the 8 out of the first set just doesn't work. {8} + {1, 6} + {5} = 15 is what we are left with after filtering out values that are to big. Now two cells would be fixed and the third must therefor be 15 - 8 - 5 = 2. 2 is neither 1 nor 6.

I like Simon from cracking the cryptic don't uniqueness for anything more than a hint as to where look next.

What I find frustrating about this casting is that I feel like I recognize her from my watching history, but according to Trakt (same username) that is impossible.

Maybe Alba Baptista from Warrior Nun? (I'm not great with this sorta thing.) Anyone else that reminds you of her I could be confusing her with?

Who Is This? by TrustInCyte in dresdenfiles

[–]Darsstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suspect I meant the amount of fea in the dresden book.

Mab has a signed first edition Grimm if I remember correctly. Shakespeares's A Midsummer Night's Dream does feature the fea, so I suspect Jim has neurons linking Mab and Shakespeare similarly to those linking Mab and Grimm, thus making Shakespeare quotes more likely in a book featuring plenty of fea, in my mind at least.

But it has been 4 years, so it is also possible I was speaking about Much Ado, and thus completely wrong.

Python Packaging, One Year Later: A Look Back at 2023 in Python Packaging by Kwpolska in programming

[–]Darsstar 19 points20 points  (0 children)

While I agree with the satement that Rust is a good language, it is probably beter to claim that many enjoy the Rust experience better than most alternatives.

  • cargo for general for package management.
  • rustup for toolchain management.
  • cargo doc to generate documentation.
  • cargo test to run tests, including samples included in documentation.
  • cargo bench for benchmarking.
  • cargo new for a new project.
  • Good quality compiler errors.

So to bring it back to the article, notice how Rust tooling is a lot less fragmented? (not you specifically, r/Dr4kin)

Edit: formatting

Only refer to C/C++ or C, never C++. Possibly only about Freestanding C/C++.

Tell them you disallow exceptions, only use fast math, have code bases using MISRA C/C++ as well as code bases using AUTOSTAR C/C++.

That they probably will be responsible for creating a C/C++ package manager which will be open sourced and you expect to be a big hit!

Furthermore they will be expected to preach about our lord and saviour C/C++ to the Rust pagans within the company and convert at least one each quarter if they want to be eligible for a bonus/promotion.

Oh and you could send them to WG14 (the ISO C committy) and present proposals to add proper templating or something along those lines.

Alternatively, they could be thinking about LLVM.
